I agree, so flame me too. DADT is a bad policy for both those who are pro and anti-gays serving in the military. Military discipline must be strictly enforced regardless of gender or anything else.

.

How about a Texas Congressman going on TV and proposing a federal law that all liberals be required by federal law that they must buy and use vegan baked beans, Ex-Lax, and Pampers or be fined $100,000 and subject to 5 years of federal prison time -

No different than Obamacare - and therefore valid under the Green Commode Clause........

As I said, homosexuality is a sin, but let's let God sort it out!

My, how magnanimous of you!

So you must not have any qualms at all about letting open homosexuals mentor your young children either...

Our nation is lost to perversion. A grim day. A grim day indeed. This is NOT what our military has fought for over 200 years. Shame on all of those who voted for Sodomy over security today!!!!

Kiss our Best goodbye you traitors!

No flames, but obviously you have not served or not recently, while some young military members said they didn't care those who actually carry weapons in combat and face death daily did oppose it. Don't believe what you read, the traitor Mullens spoke up in favor of repeal before the survey went out, it muddied the waters, which is CMC Amos is my hero, he showed character in standing up to Traitors Mullens and Gates. (Traitor is Mullens new rank, to many great men wore the rank of Admiral, he does not deserve it)

I am opposed to profanity on this board - so there is nothing I have to say at the present moment.

Louis Gohmert, a truly Conservative Texan, representing the 1st district (a former member of the A&M Corps of Cadets and ex-Army) predicts the harm this will cause.

I greatly admire Mr. Gohmert and he makes me especially proud of Texas. When listening to the clip cited above, note that he uses the proper term homosexual rather than gay. The deviants are anything but gay (in the rightful sense of the word). They are morally corrupt and miserable individuals. This cancer of depravity should absolutely not be part of our military.

God bless you Louie Gohmert! And as for those traitors who voted for the abomination of a homosexual military...well, "don-o" I agree with your statement.

I must agree whole heartedly. I expect that homosexuals will continue to be ostracized and segregated in the Military. Boot will be hard(er) on them, peers will not tolerate any shirking and will self-police as needed to weed them out.

The gays that do survive the ritualistic ripping apart of their fabric to be re-assembled as lean, mean fightin’ machines will still be uncomfortable and in the end might leave early...

thank you as you can tell there is a lot of emotion from me on this.
They have ignored the voices of vets, marines etc because special interests are more important.

Me too. This was obviously going to happen for about the last couple weeks.

The original policy was meant to stop the witch hunts against gays in the military, so frankly I must admit I find it funny how now the right is wanting to keep it.

Don’t get me wrong...I would have preferred to keep it myself. But, it’s just ironic how sides can switch.

This was the wrong move, but infinitely more bearable to me than the DREAM act.

I want to make it clear, I do not necessarily agree with todays vote. I just don't think that is going to be the end of the world either.

So many people, myself included, have friends or family members that are gay that coming here and reading some of the infantile things that get posted is insulting. I also know, as the mother of a straight, college age student, that being gay really isn't as looked down upon, as with the older generation. Whether homosexuality is a sin (and I think it is) or not, I just don't see it as a sin that it is my place to decide. I think adultery and divorce are much graver sins, as they tend to harm many more people than something two adults may or may not do in the privacy of their own homes.

So this will force straight people to shower and live with openly gay people. How is that any different than women and men being forced to shower and live together? Why not remove all barriers and lump EVERYONE together?

Those who are sexually attracted to any other group should be separated. Fairly simple concept.

These fools are one step closer to ruining our military, which is of course what they want.

For all of you Joe Liberalman lovers, we are having this vote today because of Joe’s stand-alone DADT bill.

Senators who vote for homosexuals are the same ones who think 9/11 was a law enforcement issue.

THEY WILL VOTE ON THIS AT 3PM

This goes against the fighting men and women who defend this country and will only hurt recruiting. Do you think that the fine people of the South and Midwest (the #1 and #2 regions where most of our military come from) will be so eager to have their sons and daughters sign up for a military forced to submit and accept a depravity that stands against all of their social values.

We can only hope that one day people like you pay the price for this treason.

A vote for repeal is a vote for an immoral abomination to the Lord God who has blessed this nation. This is a national statement of collaboration in the act of homosexuality, just as legalized abortion is the a statement of collaboration in child sacrifice and shedding of innocent blood.
