Cain ‘12
Merry Christmas
This guy has 100 x more experience in ‘running’ something than the O. I would vote for him for president in a NY minute!
Herman Cain has been a good, solid, honest refreshing voice for a long time.
Ditto. Herman Cain is an all round great guy and would be an excellent President. Sadly we will probably have to settle for anther mediocre candidate as usual.
Thanks, Sis!!!
I like the guy not making anyone my “choice” as of yet. He definitely beats out some of the other choices for sure. He’s another one I think might serve the movement better from a different position.
I don’t know if I am real interested in him being President with that said he does carry more hope than anyone else for the highest office. He’s a straight talker, he’s intelligent and he can carry his message well. Head to head there really isn’t anyone who can beat him I doubt. Just not so sure if I would like to see him there.
Congress is where I want to see true conservatism and as long as there is that I don’t worry so much about President.
“Sadly we will probably have to settle for anther mediocre candidate as usual”
Nooooooo, we just can’t - our very survival and that of this Republic hangs in the balance. Another mediocre candidate as usual gave us Barack Hussein Obama. Yet another mediocre candidate as usual will curse us with his second term and seal our fate.
This time around, we must nominate a real fighter - a stellar conservative who’s dedicated to defeating BHO and outshining him at every turn.
But also, gang - once we have a nominee, we’ve got to unite and get behind him or her - no sulking or staying home. We’re going to need the numbers, ewery vote we can get, to defeat this brutal progressive machine. I remember the attitudes last time when we didn’t get the candidate we wanted, but maybe now we finally get that it’s literally life or death.
“The black vote will stick with Obama before going republican and without the black vote, a black candidate can’t win.”
You make two generalizations here.
First, did you ever see Glenn Beck’s shows with all black
(candid and outspoken) studio audience participants? I believe they’re more representative than you may think.
Second, it sounds as if you assume only blacks would vote for a black candidate. BHO couldn’t have won with only the black vote. If you’re inferring widespread prejudice in the country, that’s just not so. People are deeply concerned about the Green (and I don’t mean the environment); also, the majority of them are still conservative and Christian. After all that’s been crammed down their throats thus far, they hunger for a candidate who is like-minded - and real.
“Congress is where I want to see true conservatism and as long as there is that I dont worry so much about President.”
I agree that Congress is critical, but the President has more power even than most people are aware of. Some of the more obvious - executive orders, foreign policy/relations and negotiations, and the many, many appointments - cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, all department heads, military and more. I pray none of our remaining conservative SC justices die or retire until we have a decent president. And don’t forget that on many vital issues if Congress won’t cooperate (due to public opinion) with BHO’s agenda, he intends to simply bypass it, using various minions like the EPA, DHS, etc., to do all manner of harm.
No, it’s equally important who our President is. In fact, there have been a few in our history who were very unifying, so they got quite a bit of cooperation even from a Congress of differing party.
You make all good ponts and yes you are correct that those are things I have looked over. When it comes down to it I will still prefer the congress. The one point you hit the hardest that I have ignored are the supreme court justices.
The black vote will stick with Obama before going republican and without the black vote , a black candidate can’t win. Period. Cain’s nomination would be dead on arrival.
Your comment is inaccurate for two reasons:
(1) It assumes whites wouldn’t vote for Cain, so he would need to pick up black votes to replace them. Horse-hockey.
(2) Cain’s background would be a great example to blacks that there is another route in life than looking to big government. Cain grew up poor in Atlanta in the 1960’s, in the middle of the civil rights movement. He chose education and hard work to get ahead in life over resentment and government largess. I predit a lot of blacks (especially parents of young blacks) would be attracted to Cain, because they could point to him and say “see, that’s how you get ahead in life—stay clean, stay out of trouble, work hard, and get your education.”
Truly Horse-hockey! I've been there and done that already! I voted for Herman Cain to be my Senator in the Primary against Johnny Isakson.
For the record Isakson just crossed over to vote with the Democraps to pass the START Treaty.
Herman Cain only lost his Senate primary because Democrats that knew their candidate,Denise Majette, would not win the general election, asked for Republican ballots to get the most liberal Republican, Johnny Isakson elected.
As an interesting proof that what goes around - comes around, in her previous election to Congress, Denise Majette had alienated the Democrat party base by running in the primary against and defeating "the Cutest little Communist in Congress" Cynthia McKinney, with help from Republican crossover votes.
Saw black people at McCain rally’s too. We know how that turned out. There are a % of whites who won’t vote black and a % of blacks that won’t vote republican.
