I don’t know if I am real interested in him being President with that said he does carry more hope than anyone else for the highest office. He’s a straight talker, he’s intelligent and he can carry his message well. Head to head there really isn’t anyone who can beat him I doubt. Just not so sure if I would like to see him there.

I agree that Congress is critical, but the President has more power even than most people are aware of. Some of the more obvious - executive orders, foreign policy/relations and negotiations, and the many, many appointments - cabinet members, Supreme Court justices, all department heads, military and more. I pray none of our remaining conservative SC justices die or retire until we have a decent president. And don’t forget that on many vital issues if Congress won’t cooperate (due to public opinion) with BHO’s agenda, he intends to simply bypass it, using various minions like the EPA, DHS, etc., to do all manner of harm.
No, it’s equally important who our President is. In fact, there have been a few in our history who were very unifying, so they got quite a bit of cooperation even from a Congress of differing party.
