Liberal online political magazine Salon.com published a letter to the editor yesterday that called for the murder of 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.
The letter was written in response to a mocking article at Salon titled, Good Morning America's painfully friendly interview with Sarah Palin by Alex Pareene.
Pareene snarkily sums up the GMA interview, "The interview was basically split into a couple of distinct sections: How awesome is your family, how bad is Barack Obama, how awful are people who criticize you, and how awesome is America?"
The first letter published in response to the article calls for Palin to be electrocuted by a cattle prod by convicted dog abuser Michael Vick, "Vick gets a pet to torture and we get rid of Palin. A win-win for everyone!"
That letter has apparently sat in the pole position under the article in the Letters to the Editor section since it was posted "Friday, December 17, 2010 12:33 PM ET."
The Letters section for the GMA article lists 65 letters published over four pages. Each letter has a "flag" button to call attention to Salon editors about objectionable comments. It seems no one at Salon finds it objectionable for the site to publish an explicit call for murder.
Salon's Editor in Chief, Joan Walsh, is a regular on MSNBC and CNN. Will Chris Matthews, Joe Scarborough or Wolf Blitzer attack Walsh for prominently publishing a call for the murder of Sarah Palin? Will Walsh do the right thing and publicly apologize to Palin and pull the letter?

" I Have An Idea"
" Let's let Michael Vick keep Sarah Palin as a pet instead of a dog. It will be safer for dogs and maybe we'll get the satisfaction of having Vick electrocute Palin! You know that after listening to that voice for longer than 30-seconds Vick would be lunging for the cattle prods.
"Vick gets a pet to torture and we get rid of Palin. A win-win for everyone!"

good idea...
Listen Freepers, and understand. The Kenyan is out there. He can’t be bargained with. He can’t be reasoned with. He doesn’t feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop, ever, until we are dead.
It would be a VERY bad thing if anybody were to physically harm Sarah Palin. Or her family.
I seriously doubt America would get upset if there was a close encounter against Obama or his family, but Sarah Palin?
A whole heck of a lot of America will come to the Palins defense than Obamas.
You have to remember folks, we are dealing with seriously deranged haters on the left.
One Yahoo message board I frequent has had two libs imprisoned since 2002, another in a Dutch prison for MURDER, and one that died trying to kill two guards at the Pentagon, as well as James Lee, the guy who took hostages at the Discovery Channel.
These people, already teetering on the edge of sanity anyway, are ginned up to a true hate by the radical leftist, Soros-financed media, like Alternet, Truthout, Morons.Borg, etc., but they get NO PRESS from the mostly-lib media when they realize reporting it more than one cycle might harm Democrats.
What they don't usually admit out loud, but in a moment of honesty revealed in that on-line comment, is that those who don't submit to their utopia must be killed.
Nuts who threaten public figures are a dime a dozen, but Salon’s decision to publish his letter speaks volumes about the state of politics and journalism. To the left, hatred and death threats against conservatives are just common sense, but any criticism of Dear Leader is racist. Their logic, like their belief system, is emotional and vacant.
Ditto. I am sick of the daily grind of the crap from the insane left.
Done. I’m @debsinger2
Owen Meany is a fictional character from the novelist John Irving. But I agree, they need to figure out who this person is and determine if he or she is sane.
Good analogy to the 'TERMINATOR'
You’ve got to know they are coming, first...
And how many libs are thinking they would be a HERO at the local Gay Democrats club if they killed her?
I would put my money on Sarah over any Salon-reading liberal wussy...she would take them out and feed them to the wolves.
Don’t bring a cattle prod to a gunfight...
It’s good that they continue to keep the letter on their site. It allows an unknowing reader to recognize not only what kind of people read Salon, but also the kind of people who run it.
Merry Christmas, Sarah from the DIM/LIB mind I guess.
Salon is a pretty sad documentary on America. Joan Walsh’s constipated facial expressions say it all.
Salon still publishing? Is it’s stock still worth .01 cent?
