Can some one explain why homo-sexuals wish to flaunt their sexual preference openly in the military? They can serve now so long as they don’t tell.
As for serving with hetero-sexuals, men and women serve together now, and it has not hurt the military, because if it was hurting it would have been banned.
So why would a openly gay soldier be any worse? Inquiring minds want to know.

That was not my opinion, I was merely stating the law as it exists, passed by the US Congress and signed in by the president. I hope you are intelligent enough to comprehend the difference between opinion and stating existing fact.
Personally, I detest homo-sexuality, and never understood it. Again, the issue before the congress is REPEAL of DADT. That turncoat who leaked to wikileaks and his types are free to join the military as IT EXISTS NOW. Obviously the military has no problem with discreet homo-sexuals.
My post was mainly to question why the homo’s want to come out of the closet in military. Don’t they understand it will subject them to ridicule and worse, harassment.
Finally, I have come across many news items of sexual harassment of female soldiers by straight male soldiers. If the military can tolerate that on what basis can the military say that repeal of DADT will be any worse?
I spent most of my service time in service as a driver in Saigon during the war. Never had a problem with any homo-sexuals. I seriously did not know who was and was not a closet gay soldier.
The difference between you and me is when I was drafted I did not run away to Canada. I bet you have never served.
You don't understand the basis of the oaths our military personnel swear. DADT was never embraced by the force as credible for honor. It was fabricated by those who hate the integrity of the force and sought to degrade it. You have no clue regarding integrity which supports a service person's honor. The military does not endorse lying to everyone around you. It is a major corrosive behavior to discipline and ultimately an enmy to cohesion of a force.

That's right, you stupid tool. The risk of being found out kept them discrete so they were few problems. Repeal DADT and they will no longer have ANY fear of flaunting it! In fact, they'll flaunt it, secure in the knowledge that any soldier who objects will be found to be intolerant and discharged!
