The US Senate is reportedly one vote away from passing cloture for the so-called DREAM Act, which would allow a path towards citizenship for millions of illegals if the attend colleges or serve in the military.
The bill passed the House during a late-night session last week with a vote of 216-198. It was then shelved by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid after Republicans threatened to filibuster any legislation not related to the Bush tax cuts.
It is believed the single vote belongs to Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown, who has disappointed many in the GOP with his RINO-like votes since getting into office. The Associated Press reports a coalition of left-wing educators, religious leaders and advocates are making last-ditch efforts to pressure Brown into voting for the legislation.
The bill also contains the line allowing Janet Napolitano to arbitrarily waive any and all provisions and grant mass Amnesty to about every illegal alien in America if she or her successor wants to:
Grass-roots conservatives were stunned to hear former House Speaker Newt Gingrich support the two main tenants of the DREAM Act during an interview on the Laura Ingraham Show at the beginning of the month.
The story is being under-reported or being ignored by not only the mainstream media but conservative outlets as well, as focus on the Wikileaks Cablegate scandal and political drama surrounding the Bush tax cuts takes center stage.
Thank you for a bit of good news!
Kirk is so liberal he's to the LEFT of Brown. There are many card-carrying Democrats that are less liberal than him.

It would seem that no matter how Brown votes on anything, he will still lose in 2012, much as Joseph Cao lost in New Orleans on November 2. Both were fluke, one-time only elections. Same with the two-year successor to Dan Rostenkowski in IL.
Lugar may win the title as the most arrogant senator ever! Of course, there is a lot of competition, but IN can prevail on that one.
That they do. They've been infiltrated during the past 30 years or so, and they do not want Conservatives running our country. They do not care if the GOP is splintered because that means that their true agenda will be implemented by the dims forever.
It's pretty plain, is it not? Just look at Christine O'Donnell, the "GOP" nominee, campaigned against by her own party. Look at Newt, "the era of Reagan is over," pro DREAM act, and in with Warren Buffet on the Texas water monopoly scheme. Look at Boehner and his "appointees." (Never trust a weepy drunk.) Look at all the "support" Joe Miller got against Murkycow in her successful bid to steal the election with stuffed ballot boxes. And on and on and on.
It's as plain as the nose on one's face.
