Oh, Ill bet they were. Say what you will about Axe, Gibbsy, and the rest of the crew, but Id like to think they have the basic political common sense to avoid photo ops where the president has to skip out after a minute or two to go eat gingerbread cookies.
Id like to think The One had the same basic political common sense, but we learn something new every day, dont we?
The leader of the free world and the ex-leader wandered a deserted hallway, past the offices of the senior advisers, only to discover the door to the press corps briefing room locked.

Because he only had to debate McCain.
Barry probably ran to the safety of Michelle's party because he didn't understand --or care -- what Bill was talking about!
There is no logical excuse for this even if he cannot stand Clinton. He has no class. He is unfit.
My pleasure. Fingers crossed!
I knew that Sarah was cut from the same cloth as the Framers the moment I first laid eyes on her. So did the left, which is why they collectively soiled their pants the night of her acceptance speech in 2008.
I'm not the first person to notice that there's something nearly supernatural about the confluence of events surrounding Sarah Palin's emergence on the national stage. That this extraordinary person has seemingly appeared from nowhere, right at the moment of our nation's greatest peril, is something of a 'sign' for many people (including me).
I don't simply believe that Sarah Palin has a "great future in politics". I believe that in a very real sense, that she is the future of US politics.
Amazing statement.
I also believe you are part of that "perfect confluence" with the B2FUL way you write about her!
Well, thank you, B. I appreciate you saying that.
In my view, I'm just a reporter, who's simply relating the events unfolding before me. In my humble observation, we're witnessing the emergence of an historic figure, who will one day stand large in our nation's collective memory.
I know that sounds overblown to some people, but I'm afraid that it's the plain and simple truth. I just feel fortunate that my vision is unclouded enough that I see it now. A great many Americans won't see it until much, much later, but in time, they will see it.
You are absolutely right, Windflier!
Her detractors (like Rove and Scarborough) have no idea what is in store...
They're hard-hearted people, who've long ago compromised whatever principled convictions they once had. They've become narrow-minded, and blinded to the greater stream of history that's carrying them along.
They're a cynical bunch, who no longer believe in the basic ideals of this country. The game is all that matters to them, now.
In one sense, I pity them, but they've effectively taken on the color of the enemy, which means that we must treat them accordingly.
Slick Willy should have done an “Alexander Haig” - “I’m in control now.”
At the same time, a press conference was underway in the White House. CBS reporter Lesley Stahl asked deputy press secretary Larry Speakes who was running the government, to which Speakes responded, “I cannot answer that question at this time.” Upon hearing Speakes’ remark, Haig scribbled out a note which was passed to Speakes, ordering him to leave the dais immediately. Moments later, Haig himself entered the briefing room, where he made the following controversial statement:

Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have the president, the vice president and the secretary of state, in that order, and should the president decide he wants to transfer the helm to the vice president, he will do so. As of now, I am in control here, in the White House, pending the return of the vice president and in close touch with him. If something came up, I would check with him, of course.[28]
:)
Not likely. He doesn’t know about FR.
Thats Good News!! But doesn’t the DNC pay attention to the Best Conservative Website on the Internet?
Excellent MUST VIEW!! Thank you!!
“People who’ve watched the video say that Clinton looks genuinely surprised when Obama says that he has to go. “
When obama first mentions the party at the start, it is clear from clinton’s face that he didn’t expect to hear that at all. Presumably obama was using that initially as a tactic to shut the thing down quickly, but when clinton got the podium, he lost control of it and eventually just wanted out.
That's pretty much the general reaction of most posters who took the time to watch the video. Personally, I can't stand to watch either one of these snakes, let alone, both of them at once, so I still haven't seen the video.
The MSM may have quietly ignored the weirdness of this event, but you can bet your last dollar that America's enemies haven't.
I don't know who you hang out with, but even my democrat associates were embarrassed by the man and happy to see him go, before he brought anymore shame to the party. Politically, he had already lost the congress to the GOP for the first time in over 40 years in 1994 and the senate also. And you add to that all the accusations of sexual assault, the ugliness of the Lewinski scandal, he was a real embarrassment.
George Will spoke for most Americans when he said. “Clinton may not have been the worst President ever, but he was clearly the worst person to ever be President.”
He never amazes me, he's exactly what I expect, a pathetic egomaniac who places himself above everything else in the world, regardless of the consequences, a man consumed by his narcissistic personality and insatiable lust for attention. He's the fat, unathletic kid the other kids made fun of and the girls ignored, who will spend the rest of his life trying to prove he isn't the fat unathletic kid everyone ignored.
What he never will understand is that greatness comes from within, from giving, from thinking of others first. People who are so fiercely focused on self, perpetual takers and users, never amount to anything.
Bill Clinton goes down in history with hardly a mention, except maybe for the perversity of the major scandal in his Presidency. He hopefully will be the only President to shove a cigar up a young women's vagina in the Oval office. That might be remembered for the sure shock value of it all.
Clinton loved the attention of being President and he was hardly up to the difficulties of it. He partied for 8 years, chased pussy and traveled the world playing the big shot. He looked and sounded good, but he was a fraud also.
He achieved nothing of any significance in 8 years. He takes credit for welfare reform and balancing the budget, but these were GOP initiatives, he signed begrudgingly against the protestations of the upper echelon of the democrat party. He accomplished nothing on the world stage, in fact many would argue that his failed policies in the Middle East actually inflamed the region, after a rather calm period. His failed attempt to rescue American troops in Somalia remains one of the most embarrassing military moments in post-Vietnam era. He couldn't pull the trigger when he had to, he was too afraid it might backfire, so a group of American soldiers are dragged through the streets of Mogadishu. Then the Branch Davidian disaster, as under Bubba’s watch Reno and the AFT burned up all the religious nuts and their little kiddies.
I'm glad we wasn't trying to redesign America, like this current fraud in office now, but Clinton could have tried to do something; maybe social security reform, medicare reform, something that would have made a difference? He was having to good a time being the big shot.
You may be spending too much time listening to the MSM and all this crap about what a great President the Rapist was. Truth is, he was a real failure not only morally, but as an effective leader. He did achieve anything important, anything memorable, besides shoving a cigar up Monica's Boy Howdy.
Okay, I stand corrected, Joe Biden is a repulsive POS.
My observation has nothing to do with whom I hang out. His end of office approval rating is easily found if you Google. I stated in my post that his numbers were high in spite of the scandals. While the perception of Clinton as it relates to those polled cannot be easily explained, it would be foolish to deny that there were/are a goodly number of Clinton lovers around and that not everybody has the disdain for him that we do.
