Looking for Mr. or Mrs. Right

Surveying the crop of would-be Republican presidential contenders in 2012, some Christian leaders can’t muster much enthusiasm.

“The supposed frontrunners have all got problems,” says Richard Land, president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission and a prominent leader of the religious right. Mitt Romney? “He put ‘Obamacare Light’ in place in Massachusetts,” says Land. “It’s going to be awfully difficult for him to surmount that.” Sarah Palin? “Her problem is her very high negatives. Evangelicals want somebody they like, but they also want somebody who can beat Barack Obama.” Mike Huckabee? “The problem Mike’s got is that he and Sarah Palin are appealing to the same base, and Sarah has stronger appeal to that base.” And Newt Gingrich? “Two ex-wives is one ex-wife too many for most evangelicals.”

I like Pence, a lot.

DeMint is terrific too- though he may piss off too many independents.

I just gave you two, yes two examples where Sarah was NOT opposed to TARP -——POST election. She’s either a liar or a half wit, unless she acknowledges that she changed her mind and had been mistaken.

You gave me examples that were in the past, not current examples.

Her current position, as I have already posted to you, is she is totally against those bailouts.

WHose the half-wit or liar now?

"What about Jeff Sessions? I also like Ted Poe ."

Yeah, and don't forget Bullwinkle the Moose!

Another knee-jerk, card-carrying member of the "anyone but Palin" crowd, eh? Is your head going to pop along with all the Libtard Dembeciles when Palin wins in '12? Could you have a family member video it and put it on YouTube, please?

LMAO

To 52 - Merely the devil’s advocate here, but if the veep candidate is “required to promote the positions of the [prez] candidate” why then did Mrs Palin stray on the issue of opening ANWR to drilling? McCain opposed this, Palin was/is in favor of, and she let this be known during the campaign.

Let me play devil's advocate with you:

Give me an instance of any VP that materially and consistently strayed from the positions of POTUS?

Mitt Romney’s “current” position on the 2A is it’s an individual right, he supports Heller, and he’s a lifelong member of the NRA.

Mike Huckabee’s “current” position on McCain’s Comprehensive Immigration Reform (meaning amnesty) is he’s 100% opposed, and would require nothing short of deportations and the Hunter border fence from CA to TX.

Tim Pawlenty’s “current” position on global warming is that the science is total mess and there is no reason to lift a finger to address it.

Newt Gingrich’s “current” position on cap and trade is outright oppostion.

Rick Perry’s “current” position on illegal aliens is that the federal government needs to do everything it can to seal the border.

See a pattern here?? All are opportunistic flip flops with no acknowledgment from these gentlemen that they were a huge part of the problem they now decry. Hence, we still hammer them without mercy, as we should. I guess Palin gets a free pass for her unexplained flipflops?

Believe it or not- pissant and I have never had knock-down-drag-out fights- though we rarely choose the same candidates!

One thing is clear- we won’t have Fred or Duncan to kick around this time!

I’m well PM- thanks! Life is wonderful though the world surely is the pits:)

P.S. pissant- don’t even THINK about giving us Huckabee for Senate down here in Florida- we have better ones lining up against Nelson ;)

ANd John Bolton changed his position too!

And Duncan Hunter supported Huckabee who was and is an Open Border Socialist Christian, because he changed his stated position during the Primary Season to a more secure border stance.

Once again you are promoting a double-standard and a distinction without a difference.

I’ll tell you one reason why I never had major battles with you like some of the other Frederales. You understand that all candidates have flaws and past positions that were in error. And instead of glossing over them as meaningless, or trying to spin them 180 degrees, you acknowledge them and move on.

Another superstar Fredhead who I admire is Ellery. Where the heck has she been??

No beef with Pissant here, either. I think we are all pretty close to being on the same page.

Cool. hopefully, once candidates announce, we’ll all be on the same team. If not, then may the best man (or chick) win
