Olbermann: "The unemployed, unlike the rich, are, in fact, the job creators."
MCNBC ^ | 12/08/10 | Keith Olbermann

Posted on 12/08/2010 11:37:17 AM PST by Libloather

The unemployed, unlike the rich whom this president has just bowed to, are, in fact, the job creators. They do not have investment portfolios to expand. They do not have vast savings into which to stuff the government checks. They have to spend the money. And the Council reported last week that when someone becomes a 99er, his or her household loses at least one third of its income.

And where the 99er was the sole breadwinner, that‘s four households out of ten, they lose nine tenths of their income.

The economy is surprisingly simple. If business and the rich won‘t spend, and the middle class can‘t spend, the only factor left to keep pushing money into the insatiable maw of capitalism is the government.

So, should the government give the money to the rich who keep it, or to the not rich, who spend it? Apparently this President does not know the answer to that question, even though he has his own Council of Economic Advisers.

Mr. President, for these meager crumbs, you have given up costly, insulting, divisive, destructive tax cuts for the rich, and you have given in to Republican blackmail, which will be followed by more Republican blackmail. Of course, it‘s not just tax cuts for the rich that you‘ve given up.

The only thing better than watching the Olberdork meltdown was seeing Maddow build her cheese pizza.

They're crumbling - and it's wonderful to witness.

Strange, I have never gotten a job from an unemployed person. I have gotten a few jobs working for people that Obama & Co. would definitely consider rich.

LMAO, Olberloser must be high. So investment and entrepreneurship don’t create jobs? Further evidence of my long held maxim that liberals are liberals because they don’t understand an ounce about economics.

That's why all of the unemployed in Africa create so many jobs.

Oops, wait, they don't. And the corruption in those countries repels foreign capital - you know, the rich people that Olberman says don't create jobs.

I’ve helped make rich people richer. I guess that’s why they hire me.

If they were so good at ‘creating jobs’, it seems to me they would not be unemployed...

I’m starting to think all this manufactured outrage from the left is a fake. Olbie’s rant was so fact-free and transparent (even for him) it just sounded like a lie. His blather about the 99ers was especially fake. They got another 13 months(!) to lay around without getting a job, so why’s he upset? I think the leftie talkers are just playing to their fringe audience but aren’t really mad at Obama.

An unemployed person that gets a job moves two numbers, so that’s kinda true.

Spending does not increase the overall prosperity of a nation. Production of goods and services does. Spending by definition must be PAID FOR by production. Otherwise it is paid for by debt and inflation. There is no free lunch. Someone has to pay.

If you have more and more people spending money the government is creating out of thin air, while fewer goods and services are being produced, it's not a sustainable model. Inflation and higher prices are inevitable.

Jesus, this guy is retarded. How delusional can one be? Liberals just refuse to understand or accept how the top 1% earners in America create over 50% of the jobs. When you excessively tax them...pass unnecessary business regulations...you essentially stifle meaningful job creation in the US. Why can’t liberals get over the fact that some are wealthy and simply have a right to the assets they have accrued? Isn’t that what America is predicated upon? After all, if we are all afforded equal protection by the Constitution, what gives the government the right to tax one man or business more than another?

Keithy baby still hasn’t recovered from the Republican win of the House. His rantings are becoming loonier by the minute. Pretty soon, it will be time for the net.

“Liberals are truly the dumbest people in the world.”

#####

Indeed.

Which begs the question:

How have they pretty much had their way in our society for the past 50 years?

Actually, they usually arrive at logical conclusions but start from a false basic assumption.

In this case, however, I have no way of following their “logic” back to the lie that they believed in order to arrive where they did...

There are limits to my ability to “think lib”.
