BEDFORD The parents of a Bedford teen are calling for the ouster of school officials who assigned their son a book that refers to Jesus Christ as a "wine-guzzling vagrant and precocious socialist."
"We had almost PhD people letting this fumble through their fingers, and they all said it was grand," said Dennis Taylor, a conservative Christian. "I think there should be a review of these individuals and perhaps some firing done."

Thanks for the context.
The author is not referring to Jesus as a wine guzzling whatever the rest of the quote is. She’s making a fairly frequently made comment that church people are focused on religion while ignoring the poor.
That view is inaccurate, but she didn’t slur Jesus.
Thanks for that ping, sneakers. Can’t believe I missed that in my own paper but I did. Was a bit hurried this morning and just skimmed.
if anyone in the school was sincerely interested in teaching these students how not to be poor, they could merely use the facts....
How Not to be Poor
The NH school system is loaded with all kinds of far-far-far-left wackos. (I know. I went through it).
These “teachers” do not speak for the entire state or even the town of Bedford. Most people up here are likely appaulled at their behavior.
Thanks, NH. We need to CLOSE the NH primary, and move it a few months down the schedule...NH is NOT a conservative state.
You have to wonder if Gribble and his gang of killers ever spent any time in the Bedford school system. You know the guys...the one that butchered the woman and her daughter with machetes in Mont Vernon last year...
Speaking of which, where has the RNC been for the last two years in the effort to close the primaries?
Where's Michael Steele's public announcement that the RNC is closing the primaries? Actually, where the hell is Michael Steele, period?
In Matthew 10:32-33, Jesus said, "Stand up for me against world opinion and I'll stand up for you before my Father in heaven. If you turn tail and run, do you think I'll cover for you?"
WTF? "turn tail..?" ROTFLMAO!!!
Say...do school libraries in New Hampshire offer the best-selling book of all time to the students? Just curious...
The few conservatives remaining in this socialist hellhole always joke about the 'Old Man' committing suicide...the old story has it that the 'Old Man' was a sign hung out by G-d to indicate that here in NH He made men. He quit making men in New Hampshire a while back, so He took down His sign...

We all see who has found the best reason to homeschool to date? Have I found the one that tops all the others?
At least "socialist" is seen as somewhat negative in that light. right?
Wow. I saw the headline of this article but had no idea.

This is what public schools are for. To degrade the minds of the young, turn them into atheist, leftist, homosexualists (either practicing or pro-agenda) sluts. Maybe some aren't so bad (yet), just wait.
Beheadings to begin in 10, 9, 8...
What’s that? Oh?
It wasn’t insulting Islam?
Never mind.
Ahyeup!
>> More and more Im feeling there is only one solution to this conflict.
Years of apathy and complacency is the problem. Whatever solution you’re referring to will not be rendered by the indolence that ceded to the parasitic influence of Leftism.
The Country is still awakening.

That headline was a bit deceiving, wasn't it? Guess they didn't want to bring any attention to the situation...especially from those pesky Christians...
Thanks for posting. I read a couple pages--that book should be banned simply for being mind-numbing drivel. I re-read it to see if I was being dense and concluded no, I wasn't--the passage was just really bad.
