St. Louis blogger Adam Sharp has posted a series of videos from Van Jones recent talk at Washington University. The most exciting clip was when they decided to toss Adam out of the event! But his subsequent posts have been revealing on a number of fronts, including Jones comparing Fox News to Satan.
Today Sharp Elbows adds one more clip into the mix. Many of you have followed Glenn Becks analysis of how desperate progressives will begin to drive wedges in this country that may trigger the kind of trouble weve watching unfold across Europe. It seems Van Jones is now predicting just that. Jones is unwavering that the U.S. is going to go into a tough period. A potential nightmare scenario he calls it.
Jones sees two trends. A country that is growing more diverse. And one that he is certain is going to be less and less economically prosperous. He repeats his forecast. Makes you wonder what intel does he have that he can be so confident of American economic demise?
These trends, says Jones pointing us to history, make up a recipe: That is not a recipe for common ground, thats a recipe for a battleground.
Sharp entitles his video with a question: Is Van Jones Predicting a Civil War?
(Excerpt) Read more at theblaze.com ...
The number of guns won't matter, it falls on the motivation of the people and their willingness to use them. I don't think O has a lot of support from the Military, and getting orders to shoot their own family and neighbors who protest nullifying the U.S. Constitution is not going to go over well. Maybe that is why he wants to transform the military to a bunch of limp wristed GLBT degenerates.
It should be completely clear by this point that people on the fringes like this man, Van Jones (who has an uncomfortably direct link to President Obama) mean to “take” this country, and to remake it into something it was never designed to be. And they will do it by whatever means necessary. “Social unrest?” Not “common ground but a battleground?” Those are NOT the words of one who desires peaceful political dialog — they are the words of a revolutionary. There have already been too many Mao’s, Che’s, Fidel’s, Kim’s and Ho’s during my lifetime. Not in these United States...
I hope not.
But the military will probably follow whatever orders they get.
So Van Jones basically said that the more diverse, the less prosperous America will be. Hmmm, is that racist?
Christians have played defense, and continue to play defense. When one looks behind the curtain, the offense is there, as well. And that offense is something to behold. I pray I misunderstood your reference to 'Right Wing religiosity'.
Liberals have no Army.
When the uniformed men and women of the American military are called to defend the Constitution, it wont be Van Jones on the winning side.
That brings up an interesting question — do most in our military know what “defending the Constitution” means? I AM NOT insulting their intelligence, but I am questioning the COMMON perception that the civilian leaders are the “duly elected and constitutional” leaders and therefore their orders are to be obeyed. Do the troops know ENOUGH about the Constitution to question unconstitutional orders by Federal Officials on Principle — and to instead uphold the Constitution itself?
I would imagine a good portion of our military would balk at actually bearing arms against American citizens on American soil. But, how many? And would the Fed’s send units to different regions to minimize resistance to order’s? Would the Fed’s even import foreign troops — UN forces? — in such a scenario?
Oops — sorry to hijack the thread... Just thinking out loud.... Send copies of the Constitution to all our military personnel! And pray for every one of them.
I too have had this question, on my mind for some time now. A great question, you are asking. I know not how the original poster of the thread is thinking. More exposure would come though, in the form of a question before the entire FReeper community....mho
Jones is another Alinskyite, and every bit as vile as Obama.
This is definitely a cue to leftist revolutionaries.

> “What Van Jones is preaching is what is in POTUS Obamas heart and soul.”

Absolutely!
(and tutored by Bill Ayers)

Just another reason why all of Obamacare must be repealed.

"Jones was the leader and founder of a radical group, the communist revolutionary organization Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM. That group, together with Jones' Elle Baker Center for Human Rights, led a vigil Sept. 12, 2001, at Snow Park in Oakland, Calif.
STORM's official manifesto, titled, "Reclaiming Revolution," surfaced on the Internet."--via TheObamaFile

VAN JONES SHOCK ADMISSION [in his own words]: "Goal is Complete Revolution"

Here is the transcript of the above YouTube video:
Right after Rosa Parks refused to give up her seat if the civil rights leaders had jumped out and said OK now we want reparations for Slavery, we want redistribution of all the wealth, and we want to legalize mixed marriages. If wed come out with a maximum program the very next day, theyd been laughed at. Instead they came out with a very minimum. We just want to integrate these busses
But, inside that minimum demand was a very radical kernel that eventually meant that from 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country.
And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages.
Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least were not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough? No, it wont be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression all together. But, thats a process and I think thats whats great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the CRISIS is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary.
So the green economy will start off as a small subset and we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society.

Here's the original source for the Van Jones quote about the time he spent in jail following the Rodney King/LA riots (Jones was arrested in "peaceful" protests in San Fran). It was in a 2005 interview he did with East Bay Express. They of course (what else?) claim he "renounced his rowdy Black Nationalist ways" since then (yet he's calling for "complete revolution" in Aug 2009! ...see above):
But in jail, he said, "I met all these young radical people of color -- I mean really radical, communists and anarchists. And it was, like, 'This is what I need to be a part of.'" Although he already had a plane ticket, he decided to stay in San Francisco. "I spent the next ten years of my life working with a lot of those people I met in jail, trying to be a revolutionary." In the months that followed, he let go of any lingering thoughts that he might fit in with the status quo. "I was a rowdy nationalist on April 28th, and then the verdicts came down on April 29th," he said. "By August, I was a communist."
> “The left has wanted this for a long time . . . and theyre going to get it.”
.
And we’ll be happy to hand it back to them.
.
> “Let’s get it over with now.”
.
Let’s Roll!
.
I love that quote, but during some recent research on Yamamoto I learned that it was never conclusively
determined that he actually said it. However, its truth is undeniable.
Dont’ forget this too people - use your low cap mags for the long range work. If you dont have any, get some.
Keep the high caps for CQB.
Van better be careful what he asks for. He’s way in over his head and he should never forget that most of our military hate the Kenyan and they are conservatives.

I don’t equate Christianity with the fanatical implications of the term ‘religiosity’.
Radical Islam is a good example of Right Wing religiosity - at least in my imperfect lexicon.
He’ll be severely out numbered.
