(AP) Bristol Palin is striking back against MSNBC host Keith Olbermann for dubbing her "worst person in the world."
Olbermann gave her the title on his show earlier this week, casting her as a hypocrite for appearing in a public service announcement promoting abstinence and safe sex. Palin was an unmarried teenager when she had her son, Tripp.
He likened her being an abstinence spokeswoman to saying former President George W. Bush "kept us safe, 'cept for that 9-11 thing, which doesn't count."
The 20-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" diva and daughter of former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin defended herself on Facebook Thursday. She said calling her a hypocrite is an "old canard." And she said that what Olbermann lacks in originality he makes up for with "insincere incredulity."

I’m pretty sure that Rush addressed it on his show, you even quoted him speaking of it, why did you make such a stupid statement when we have heard lots of people respond to Olbermann? What was wrong with Bristol sticking up for herself?
After all, It was important enough for to take time out of your life to jump on this thread and post that “nobody” responds to his national TV show attacking them by name.

I don’t recall saying she had done anything WRONG by taking the money herself. I don’t have any particular love for the Palin clan, but that doesn’t mean I have problems with them for milking the dollars while they can. All I am saying is that the cult of celebrity is silly. I have problems with the society that thinks their meager accomplishments and statements are worthy of fame and additional remuneration.
Well goof, in the first place if Keif doesn’t like you that means you are doing something right.
Responding to Keif only gives him attention and elevates his BS to a level he doesn’t deserve. He tries hard to get a response from people. You don’t oblige.

Actually, I was responding to Hildy’s post. Sounds like you are hunting for someone to disagree with...and of course, you’re in the right place for that, given the disparate views on this forum. But if you don’t watch TV or devour popular culture, you’re probably going to be woefully confused when it comes to those “Where’s the beef?!” remarks spouted by weak Rat politico types.

Oh, please. If you take my comments as intending to insult the kid, you’re missing the point entirely. I’m not saying the kid is a dummy or a scumbag, just that she’s not got much of a resume, just like 99.999% of celebutards. She’s a single mom high school grad who’s come in third in a reality TV competition. Even Meghan McQueeg has a better resume than Bristol...not that I’d pay her to shovel $#!#, either. Fame isn’t about reason or righteousness and believing a person’s worth equates to their fame in any way is silly.

You don’t know jack about me other than you want to argue with me. Try twisting your own words instead of mine. My point was I’m not a fan of their FAME. I don’t know Sarah’s political opinions enough to be a fan or not. But I know the folks touting her are all too often members of the same crowd that was yapping about Colin Powell, Condi Rice, and Dubya as the second comings of conservatism, and I don’t trust that crowd’s opinion. I want to hear a candidate affirm their belief in American federalism, constitutional government, and exceptionalism before I vote for `em or shill for `em. Sarah hasn’t quite gotten around to doing that yet. When she does or doesn’t, then you can declare me a fan of hers or not. And just to prove how damn foolish you are for declaring my opinions when you don’t know them, so far, I’m a big fan of her husband, who seems like a guy I’d drink a beer with.

How many people have impressive resumes at 20, while raising a child as a single mother no less? Beyond that, I think she’s demonstrating considerable responsibility for her life. Your comments were ugly, no matter how you try to pretend you meant no harm.
