I hope you’re right. It would be great to get rid of “Love Pats McCaskill”. Vile woman.

August, 2010 the Missouri primary, 0bamacare on the ballot :

Against 0bamacare 71%

Pro 0bamacare 29%

At the present time voters in the state of Missouri are split about 50 - 50 between the dems and repubs.

Crazy Claire is in trouble because of her ties to 0bama.

“George Bush let people die on rooftops in New Orleans because they were poor and because they were black” - Clair McCaskill

Single lowest, most vile, most utterly offensive thing I've ever heard uttered by any American politician. I will support anyone over this reprobate.

Clair’s slipping. She forgot the line about the FBI introducing AIDs into the “black community” in order to promote genocide.

“First she will need to run against the other Republicans in the primary. There is no guarantee she would win that. There could be several good candidates in the Republican primary.”

Indeed. Peter Kinder and Jim Talent were the names I hears. I don’t know much about Kinder, but I’ve always like Talent even though he is a bit of a milquetoast.

I hope you’re correct, but the union deadasses who elected her haven’t yet departed our union-plagued state.

It’s alway good to kick the tires and look two or three times before committing to a candidate.

Look at her pics. She needs to tone the look WAY down to appeal to the MOR voters, especially the Soccer Moms who are needed to elect her.

He are electing a Senator, not a hot date for Saturday night!

“What does Sarah Steelman think about the Tea Party movement? “

If you look at her picture it’s pretty obvious. There are no ugly tea party women.

You are right BoBToMatoE, not to trust Steelman. After losing badly to Hulshof in the 2008 primary, she not only refused to endorse him, but continued a “sour grapes” performance into the general election. That's not the commitment to conservative values she pretends to have. Did she have it in for Hulshof? Both were assistant state attorneys general 20-plus years earlier, prosecuting sensitive cases. I would guess that there should have been objections to her conduct at the time. Check her bio and do the math, if you want to know more.

So in other words you don't know if McCaskill will face a serious primary challenger. I don't think she will.

The last time Republicans allegedly tipped a rat primary in Missouri, 2004 when McCaskill beat Bob Holden for Governor was a big mistake. The unpopular Holden would have had no chance in the general election, McCaskill beat Blunt. I told that to some person at the time and he or she was all like "so what?!!! We beat Holden!!!!!!". As if McCaskill would have been any improvement. The objective is to beat the rat in November not replace rat A with rat B.

IF there is a primary challenger and freepers wanna cross over and vote in the rat primary you better make sure that whoever it is would be less likely to win in November than McCaskil.

Anyway I think Steelman is a good choice. Jim Talent may also run again. Republicans would be well advised to use their vote to choose the best Republican for the job.

That should read McCaskill nearly beat Blunt.

Yeah, I was gonna say, McCaskill didn’t quite win the governorship. But your analysis is spot-on. Another good example is the Specter-Sestak primary in PA, in which some Republicans wanted the execrable Specter to be defeated despite the fact that Specter would have no chance in the general while Sestak would have a fighting chance (and ended up nearly upsetting Toomey).

The Missouri primaries are meaningless nationally. The presidential nominees are a foregone conclusion by the time they are held.

I despise McCaskill. Losing the nomination will end her political career. Merely losing the election as the Democrat nominee won't.

I'll make you a deal: You do what you want to do, and I'll do what I want to do.

What d'ya say?

Polls show all potential Republican contenders running about even with McCaskill, including Steelman. Any of the Republicans who may run are more than acceptable. I would prefer any of them over Roy Blunt, who got elected this year.

I'm talking bout voting in the GOP primary for Senate, Governor, and the other offices.

Every American including yourself has a right to cast foolish votes, like your foolish vote for McCaskill in 2004 that was a great boon to her career. Yes, you helped her career so you could slightly accelerate the end of Holden's which was already over because he had zero chance of winning the general election.

So I take your deal, I like criticizing foolishness.

Voting for McCaskill seemed like a good idea at the time. I was hoping that she would almost win, thus crippling Holden in the general election. He didn’t even make it to the general election, which isn’t typical of incumbents.

Well beyond any doubt we now know that damaged incumbents are our friends. As long as they’re in the race the race is all about them.

Some thought the more liberal Sestak would be more likely to lose to Toomey. Obviously that wasn’t the case.
