Annex Sweden and just tell Britain we won’t allow any USA citizens to attend the Royal Wedding.

Clearly they don’t. They could shut down servers. They could take responsibility. They could ferret out the many traitors. To me? Too much info came from various sources.It was/ is an issue of information access and control. Due to the differences, breadth and depth I believe there is a larger conspiracy and responsibility flows through Secretary of State and right into the White House.

Servers are easy. But what if (or when) this archive gets onto the BitTorrent? There are no servers; individual computers (tens of thousands of them) hold parts of the data, and whacking them one by one - even if possible - is not going to do anything. The data is not copyrighted, so foreigners can have it and their countries can't do anything about that.
This particular release is history. It has happened already. But future releases can be prevented by arresting the current crop of "journalists" and imprisoning them for ... instigating international conflicts. Because that's what they really do. I'm sure the old Saddam's cell is available for Mr. Assange.

I like your idea. Just issue an arrest warrant and let Interpol handle the rest. When he is entering a airport, he will already be on the list. With the servers, there is not much you can do about that. If you shut one down, it will pop up in another place.

In the Internet age, you can’t close any leak.
You have to take out the leaker.
That takes balls, something no one in this administration has (except against the American public).
