“Q: Let me clear something up: Sen. McCain has said he supports caps on carbon emissions. Sen. Obama has said he supports clean coal technology, which I don’t believe you’ve always supported. Do you support capping carbon emissions?
PALIN: I do. I do.”

Here support for the whole climate change bundle is even more explicit in the 2007 Executive Order: http://www.gov.state.ak.us/admin-orders/238.html

She even sought federal funding for the work of the panel:

8. the identification of federal and state mechanisms for financing climate change activities in Alaska, including research and adaptation projects;

Support for the notion of greenhouse gas registries:

9. the potential benefits of Alaska participating in regional, national, and international climate policy agreements and greenhouse gas registries;

Intent to join the carbon-trading market. (The carbon-trading market can only exist if there are carbon caps, hence the phrase "cap and trade")

13. the opportunities for Alaska to participate in carbon-trading markets, including the offering of carbon sequestration;

Putting her criticism of the Cap and Trade bill that the Democrats are proposing, she is solidly on record as supporting cap and trade as a concept.

So I’ve served my country and family for 20 years now. I donate to FR and love to sign in to learn from other Freepers since I am relatively new to politics (though I’ve voted GOP for 20 years).

So I post some of my thoughts in hopes to find out what others think and I get you turds, hurling personal insults.

Kiss my ass.

I think Palin running would be great and great for the future of our country - her record as an executive as Gov. Alaska speaks for itself.

The frosting is that the left absolutely hate her - that must mean we need her.

The VP candidate could NOT publicly contradict her running mate. Wrong? Yes. Necessary. Unfortunately, yes as well. She could not present a divided front in a presidential campaign. She is now free from those responsibilities.

This is Politics 101. Anyone who cannot acknowledge that and uses that as a purity test is not living in reality.

Maybe Cheney should have revealed in his debate with Edwards that he didn’t favor Bush’s decision to go to the U.N. before invading Iraq using your logic? Because we know that he didn’t.

In 2008, Palin was not the standard bearer of the party... McCain unwittingly gave conservatives a gift... one that may undo much of his own agenda. Hopefully, she can finish what Bush started with the Supreme Court. Anthony Kennedy’s replacement will be crucial and will mean the end of Roe v. Wade among many other issues.

Good for you. I agree. I don’t see the need for personal insults and it’s obvious that you weren’t trolling.

Palin is a great cheer leader, however research on her qualifications as a presidential candidate has shown:

She has endorsed 6 RINOS:

McCain, Ayotte, Norton, Handel, Fiorina , and Bondi over conservatives.

Palin is on record for....

L.O.S.T. Treaty

Carbon Credits

Windfall profits Tax

Amnesty

"registration" which is the prelude to amnesty, and endorsed by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus.

Now tell me she is a conservative

Thank you for your service. This is my biggest problem with the Palin Cult: anyone who doesn’t automatically agree or has misgivings about Gov. Palin is made the target of personal attacks.

I’ve been thinking.

Last bash-fest I saw like this, was prior to the Delaware vote. The constant attacks on Christine O’Donnell powered a surge in support for her among conservatives, and she would have won in a different state.

IMHO, this anti-Palin stuff will make things more difficult for Mitt supporters.

Just saying.

PS: Have you perhaps mentioned who you support?

Or is it “too early” to state your support for anyone, but you simply must express your concern?

Do I have that about right?

She was on record as supporting Cap and Trade back in 2007. She is now on record as being against it as of 2009.
