Sorry...even though I wanted Miller to win, he didn’t. As much as I detest the woman, a voter should not have a ballot discarded just because the write-in name may be “Murkowsky” or some such.

I want to win, but not by Gore-in-Florida2000 tactics.

The AK republican party is corrupt and clearly was engineering the election for Murk. Not only did the party chair give the weakest endorsement I’ve heard, but the local “conservative” talk radio guys really showed their true allegiance, the party instead of their listeners. None of the local establishment is committed to any ideals beyond power, status, money and the perpetuation of the present power structure. Miller went from being absolutely unknown to within striking distance of the senate in the space of a few months-hardly the accomplishment of a weak candidate.
The suit should move forward. I would especially like to see the difference between the totals as tabulated by the voting machines vs. a hand count of all ballots. The machines give no feedback as to whether a vote was tabulated, only if you double marked a ballot does it spit it back. How many voters “x”’d the oval or didn’t fill it in all the way?

They should discard everyone of them because that’s what the law says.

“I want to win, but not by Gore-in-Florida2000 tactics.”

Not the same thing. Alaska has voter laws that should be followed. The law states it must be spelled correctly. The sea hag knew this which is why she had the court make an exception for her and provide a list with her name on it. She also provided bracelets with her name on it.

If they don’t like the law, they can change it after this election.

I’ll say it again: Should Murkouski or Murkowsky or Merkowsky or Murkouskee or Murkouschee or Meerchoski or Murkouschee count? Where do you draw the line?

I would like those piles of ballots that existed before the polls even opened to be eliminated.

My thinking has been parrellel with what you stated. It has gotten me “beat up” here on FR. However, I will say one thing about the Miller situation. IF the state law is VERY clear about proper spelling, etc. then I must agree with those here on FR that says the law MUST be followed. I don’t want voters to be defranchised, but I don’t want some judge overriding what a legislature has clearly put into law.

What I would like to know is would have Joe Miller won if Murky hadn’t done the write in stuff. It is obvious that many dems voted for Murky. So, would the Dem have won? (Although Murky is a Donkey in an Elephant costume).

Please prove that. Thank you.
