The AK republican party is corrupt and clearly was engineering the election for Murk. Not only did the party chair give the weakest endorsement I’ve heard, but the local “conservative” talk radio guys really showed their true allegiance, the party instead of their listeners. None of the local establishment is committed to any ideals beyond power, status, money and the perpetuation of the present power structure. Miller went from being absolutely unknown to within striking distance of the senate in the space of a few months-hardly the accomplishment of a weak candidate.
The suit should move forward. I would especially like to see the difference between the totals as tabulated by the voting machines vs. a hand count of all ballots. The machines give no feedback as to whether a vote was tabulated, only if you double marked a ballot does it spit it back. How many voters “x”’d the oval or didn’t fill it in all the way?
