Tonight is the final chance for the three remaining contestants on "Dancing With the Stars" to impress the viewers at home.
As we've seen this season in particular, high scores from the judges may be nice. But, it's the viewers who matter because their votes can make an impact.
Going into tonight's season finale are Jennifer Grey, Kyle Massey & Bristol Palin.
Getting to this point wasn't always a smooth trip. There were some tense moments at the production office for "Dancing With the Stars."
ABC says a white powder in an envelope was delivered to the office this past Friday. It turned out to be talcum powder.
But, before they knew that, hazardous materials officials with the city of Los Angeles, fire department, police and FBI arrived at the studio lot where the ABC show airs.
This comes just days after the shock that viewers have put low-scorer Bristol Palin in the finals of "Dancing With the Stars," while voting off Brandy, who's had some of the highest scores from the judges.
Watch tonight's show at 8 p.m. and the results show Tuesday at 9 p.m. on ABC.

Well, as I predicted on Day One (not on FR unfortunately), Jennifer Grey - the professional dancer - won the trophy. Not sure why she felt she had to lie about her "ruptured disc" (yeah right) problem as there was no voting from the viewers tonight (which I admit I forgot... I was all set to vote for Bristol again!).
Jennifer danced beautifully, as expected. I don't get why they pit pros like Jennifer against complete novices like Bristol. In any event, congratulations to Bristol for making it all the way to the finals, and for being such a CLASS ACT! :o)
Two thoughts about her saying she has herniated a disc. Either she lied to get sympathy and that is bad, or she told the truth and put herself in terrible jeopardy by not rehabbing for a few months while she healed.
What kind of a role model is that for Children, especially her own? what about Young People that are watching and they have injuries, but do not stop practicing or performing because look at Jennifer, she won. This comes down to very poor choices, which is what a 17 year old Bristol was accused of. what about a 50 year old woman that does not see a problem with her own choices.
Why is Bristol going to NYC tomorrow (later today)?
Thanks for this great thread, btw! ;-)
The internet had problems with voting for Bristol while the other two went through. That was what I was reading.
Heartfelt prayers for you and your special guy.
I know I have seen him more and more get her to have some input in the Dance Routine, and she seems to let him into her space.
I would love to see her in a relationship with Mark, but I think it is too early. It would be nice if they could stay close, he is an only child and they make a cute couple. They are the same height until she wears heels. LOL!
I think the main reason so many of the pubic were for Bristol may be because she was a total non-dancer - and the strides she made from week to week were remarkable. I think people could put themselves in her shoes and relate.
Jennifer Grey, daughter of a great dancer, has been dancing all her life - and was the star, with Patrick Swayze, in Dirty Dancing, a film famous for the great dancing. SHE is the professional.
‘Seems to me the deck was stacked from the get go.
That said, I think Bristol did herself up proud - and I think she's probably relieved that she didn't get the final win...She can now go home and be with her little boy. She's exhausted and home sick...She can go home with her head held high...and maybe not need the body guards against the death threats.
No way she can do the moves with all that wrong.
Swayze didn't like her and I think we now know why. Geez, there wasn't a week that she didn't complain about something.
She might even be as bad as Kate Gosselin!
hmmm - let's see. the contest is supposed to be an amateur paired with a professional - the latter bringing the amateur along week after week.
Bristol was a total non-dancer - who learned fast and improved remarkably over the weeks.
Jennifer is the daughter of one of the great dancers of the last few decades - so it's reasonable to assume she has been dancing all her life - and good enough to get the plum dancing role in "Dirty Dancing" with Patrick Swayze (whose mom operated a dance studio out of her home and he was also dancing from a toddler. He was great.)
So, Jennifer, the life long and professional dancer was a better dancer than the amateur? Wow, now isn't that just amazing? NOT
Even Mark pointed out that the show is SUPPOSED to pair an amateur with professional.
I call fowl.
But I'm glad Bristol didn't win in the end. She has too much going for her to get into that life. She did herself up proud to get to the finals. And I think she got that far because the public indentified with as a coming into it with no experience and making such great strides, week after week. She never fell, she never flubbed - she just kept improving. Pretty damn good.
Because Jennifer Grey has been living in obscurity for the last 20 years. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but her acting career is OVER. It’s been over for decades.
Sorry, always LOVED Jennifer over the years, she is an ICON! Her crybaby whining and pitiful pity-party antics surprised me. My opinion is definitely diminished regarding Jennifer... I would much prefer to remember the ICON.
You are very entertaining TROLL you are... heh heh....
Shes full of it.
I am a Medical Technician, and work with rehab patients with similar injuries..
There is NO WAY she could dance with a ruptured disc.
I thought Bristol was on fire in her last dance. She has really grown as a performer and looked so happy. She is a strong woman. I loved how they mentioned she drove her truck down from Alaska.
exactly. Dancing with the stars has been has been actress Jennifer Grey’s acting job. Phony without soul—especially compared to Kyle and Bristol.
So glad to see the end after all.
Bristol’s poise and grace is remarkable. If she was disappointed with third place, it sure didn’t show on her face!
True. What is it "that I don't know"?
I hear you, but the same thing happened last season when Nicole from the Pussycat Dolls group won. She was even better than Jennifer.
List her dancing resume other than "Dirty Dancing". Go ahead prove your assertion. I'm sure it's all there. All the shows and movies that she's danced in. Give us the list.
BTW, Grey's also 50 years old.
