The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is warning that any would-be commercial airline passenger who enters an airport checkpoint and then refuses to undergo the method of inspection designated by TSA will not be allowed to fly and also will not be permitted to simply leave the airport.
That person will have to remain on the premises to be questioned by the TSA and possibly by local law enforcement. Anyone refusing faces fines up to $11,000 and possible arrest.
"Once a person submits to the screening process, they can not just decide to leave that process," says Sari Koshetz, regional TSA spokesperson, based in Miami.

another federal agency over stepping and out of control. shut it down now.
Perhaps every guy should take a couple of viagras an hour before heading out to the airport. Tell the TSA dude, “There’s no need to wand me, I have my OWN wand!”
It all boils down to how many ARE free, in their spirits (where it truly starts) as opposed to how many are subjects.
I have to say I have believed for some time that there are not a lot of Americans left in America; not enough to uphold it.
The grip of the hands of government around the collective neck of the nation tightens even further.
If you can separate a man from his conscience, you can eventually get him to do anything perverted, evil, vile or of ill intent. Eventually, he will do anything you ask of him, no matter how criminal, and he will feel vindicated in his sin towards his innocent victims.
Jeremiah 17:9 (New King James Version)
The heart is deceitful above all things,
And desperately wicked;
Who can know it?”
Note they do this after the election. You know, i live in Pittsburgh, site of the 2009 G20 - I drove past the police state they had here dowtown. They fenced off downtown, it looked like an occupied city. bit by bit (although the TsA stuff is a GIANT leap towards tyranny) they are enslaving us. They have checkpoints on our roads, they strip seach innocents, they molest children and nuns. Slowly over the years they have been preparing us for the slaughter. Watching what they can get away with helps me understand how monsters can come to power. If this scuntry isn’t saved, I don’t even want to imagine what life will be like in the future.
I don’t even flu yet this stuff makes me so mad I could spit.
If we were actually screening potential terrorists, the rule would make pretty good sense.
Please think about what you wrote.
If a Muslim wants to kill a lot of people all they have to do is rent one of those baggage thingys and load it up with giant suitcases full of explosives. Then they roll it up to where HUNDREDS of people are forced to stand close together waiting for the electronic strip search. There is absolutely no way the TSA or HSA can stop that from happening right now. And it won't change until we start screening people instead of things they are carrying.
In fact, wouldn't the groping of a Muslim man's wife or child cause him to go over the edge and carry out such an act? Aren't we creating terrorists with this policy?
Everyone knows contraband is smuggled into high security prisons all the time. Trying to keep all potentially dangerous objects off of thousands of planes every day is a fool's errand.
There are those here who have said the Oath keepers ( or something like that) will not follow illegal orders.
Guess what, TSA is now molesting our children we the excuse is “just following orders!” And not a single arrest made of a TSA agent (or any that have quit).
We are subjects. And yes, the boys and girls in uniform will just follow orders.
Are you employed by the TSA? What part of the 4th amendment don’t you understand?
Serious about security, I think not. When the DHS, the congress and the administration start dealing with the border, the already present illegal immigrants, and the Muslims among us, none of whom have taken a position in favor of America, then Ill believe DHS/TSA is serious about security. Besides that, with all the America hating Muslims among us, they can blow up something as newsworthy and spectacular as an aircraft, while thumbing their noses at the TSA agents that are busy harassing Americans at airports. If anyone has any doubt as to how tolerant Muslims are of other believes, just look at their homeland where there is no tolerance at all.
And, besides that, profiling works and every cop on the street profiles since, without profiling, law enforcement would be just as ineffective as the TSA random molestations. The gross stupidity of the government, and TSA in particular, was evident in the screening of pilots, based on some absurd notion the pilot would need an explosive to total a plane. The whole process is not about security, but submission of Americans and compromise of our liberties.
Another BOHICA moment brought to you by Obama, Nappy, and Leftists everywhere.
Unfortunately, the submissive behaviour was from both Dems and Republicans. Sen DeMint in particular, the hero of the Tea Party movement, was sickening his worshipful praise of 'Cardinal' Pistole.
Yes. And right before Thanksgiving, a holiday that we celebrate and give thanks to God for our blessings as a nation. A time that brings families together.
There timing is calculated. It is the busiest travel time of the year where they figured they would get the least resistance from the public.
Of course the Commies who came up with the wicked policy are Godless and the family is seen as a threat to their further conquering and breaking down of the culture.
It is all as they planned it.
Exactly. All these outrages need to be tied to Obama just as the Left did with Bush.
Airport groping? Obama's TSA. Expired tax cuts? Obama's tax hikes.
We need to reinforce that the buck stops with Obama.

In the Fed’s and State’s eyes the law-abiding citizen is a criminal and a terrorist. They just haven’t been able to prove it yet.
I think Israeli security is involved in any flight into Israel, regardless of airline. All flights to Tel Aviv have an additional security checkpoint at the gate. I thought these were Israeli security agents or El Al security employees. I flew Lufthansa from Frankfurt to Tel Aviv in January 2006, and I don't recall any additional questions to me, but they may have done so to those who had Arabic surnames. I did get quite a few questions at immigrations coming into Israel. Some poor sap failed the entrance exam and was escorted through a door to another area.
Going out the questioning is much more lengthy, but if you are in Israel on business, you can get a letter from your local sponsor explaining the nature of your trip, which can help expedite things.
That said, the interrogation at Schiphol Airport (again, at the departure gate) in Amsterdam when I transited there in December 2005 was more intense than the entry questioning into Israel. There was a family traveling and they separately questioned the man, the woman, and the 12-14 year old boy. There was a younger boy who was not questioned.
What was interesting about the Amsterdam interrogation was how the security agent looked you right in the eye as he asked the question. He did not ask a question while he was looking at the boarding pass, and then look at you while you answered. This is no doubt to look for micro-expressions.
That is why I was surprised Abdulmutallab intentionally traveled via Amsterdam. Maybe security was more lax in December 2009 compared to December 2005.
In January 2006 I transited Munich. In summer 2007 I traveled from Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris back to the U.S. In both cases there were no interrogations. I think it is/was a Amsterdam thing back then.
"Does the federal government have the right to ask you who you're visiting and why when you're traveling from NYC to Indianapolis?"
The federal government does sometimes do this at inbound immigrations when a citizen reenters the U.S. from a foreign country. They seem to do it when the purpose of the trip was business (I don't recall getting the 3rd degree on vacation travel).
I will bet it is not the actual question which matters here. The purpose is for the questioner to observe any micro-expressions which may identify deceit. My guess is smugglers probably started putting down "business" on their immigration form believing they would get better treatment than those ostensibly traveling on pleasure.
I personally think a better use of TSA manpower would be to double up on the ID checking stations, and ask some questions, instead of having TSA agents wander around yelling at passengers to take their shoes off, and other guidance.
