The million-dollar question among Dancing with the Stars fans these days? How did Bristol Palin make it into the season 11 finals?
"She deserves it," DWTS executive producer Conrad Green tells PEOPLE. "And a significant portion of our viewing audience believes that, too."

Speculation has arisen about whether members of the Tea Party, many of whom strongly support Bristol's mom Sarah Palin, are involved in an organized effort to promote Bristol.
On one conservative Web site, Freerepublic.com, some of the site's 300,000 registered users have recently used discussion threads to encourage votes for Bristol. One asked users to "make liberal heads explode and vote for Bristol" on Nov. 8 to advance her to the semi-finals.
But Jim Robinson, who founded the site, says there is no larger plan at work. "An organized conspiracy? I sincerely doubt that," he told PEOPLE. "The Tea Party's not that organized!"
And Green agrees that there's no stuffing of the virtual ballot-box, saying that the entire process text votes, call-in votes and email votes "is all overseen by the Broadcast Standards team, independent of us and the network to make sure that everything is absolutely done scrupulously."

Who the hell watches Dancing With The Stars anyway?
Bristol Palin....like I care if she wins or walks. Nothing against her, but this whole thing is just beyond ridiculous.
How can it be a conspiracy when I knew nothing about it!
not only not that organized, but most of us around FR could hardly care less about DWTS no matter who’s on it!!
I don’t watch any of ‘those’ silly MSM shows and I doubt that too many others here do, either.
Ditto that. Died much too young.
OUTSTANDING PHOTO! Thank you!
In all of us is a dancer wanting to be lifted or lifting high above the partner’s head and glide gracefully across the floor in a beautiful gown. Or holding a beautiful woman in our arms. We live vicariously through the young lady. She’s Cinderella at the ball. Dance, Bristol dance!
May all your dreams come true!
Like that stomp.
Watch Monday and call.
Now, THAT would have made their heads explode! Can't you just see the spittling words of outrage?
Too funny!
'Dancing With the Stars' producer defends Bristol Palin:
'I'm very confident that the votes that are getting through are valid'
by Annie BarrettConrad Green, executive producer of ABCs Dancing With the Stars, is mystified by this weeks Bristol Palin vs. Brandy brouhaha. Green called EW to address rumors of a so-called Tea Party conspiracy designed to help Bristol Palin advance into Mondays season 11 finals.
Image Credit: Adam Larkey/ABCENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: This week, theres been a lot of outrage that its too easy to exploit the voting system at ABC.com. Do you have any plan in place to correct that?
CONRAD GREEN: Its already corrected, to be honest with you. It might appear that you can make up a thousand email addresses and send them in, but we have a number of security checks in place that go over all of the internet votes before theyre calculated. In this particular case, we can spot an IP address, and if one computer sends in a crazy amount of email votes, we just discard them. These things can happen for any of our contestants. Its not like only Bristols fans could do that. It could just as easily be happening for Jennifers or for someone elses. But either way, those excessive votes are not being counted. Are you saying that it might look to people like their excessive votes are getting through, but because theyre using the same IP address the votes actually wouldnt count?
Exactly. And theres a number of other security checks they can do. Im not gonna reveal all of them, because it might encourage people to try to find a way around them. But there are tons of checks done by every one of our vendors the phone people, the text people and the internet people. They do discard anything that looks suspicious. Sometimes people just cant get through because the phone lines are busy; the local exchanges get overwhelmed. But that affects everyone equally. Unfortunately, its a huge country with a huge infrastructure, and those kinds of things are going to go wrong. Our servers have gone down on the internet during voting a lot. Im very confident the votes that are getting through are valid...-- snip --
So you think its just a case of America loving the underdog?
We have no way of knowing why people are voting for Bristol. If you look at it, young contestants on the show are always popular. Shawn Johnson won it. Kyle happens to be in the final as well, which everyone seems to have overlooked. Youve got 19 and 20 year-olds in the show who have both made the final. People like young contestants, contestants who arent from the mainstream, who have got a tough story, who have come from no dance training. Youll remember, this time last season, everyone was furious about Nicole being on the show because shes got too much experience. There might be an element of her vote thats from Republicans, but there might be an element of her vote shes not getting because of Democrats. She was working at a dermatologists office in Alaska, whereas Jennifer Grey was in a movie beloved by millions of women around this country who are now our target audience. She hasnt got any fan base to speak of. If there are a few Tea Party people getting behind her, how is that any different from Marie Osmonds fans voting for her, or rodeo fans voting for Ty Murray, or Brandys fans five million albums sold who were voting for her? You could argue that shes got no constituency. People are being melodramatic about this. If she was Kenny Mayne, yeah, that could be an issue. Or Kate Gosselin with the quality of her dancing, that would be a bit bizarre. But shes a good dancer, Bristol. I thought she did great on Monday. Heres a 20-year-old girl who everyones screaming at. This should be the best week of her life. I really feel for this girl. Everyones acting like shes getting together with Dick Cheney, trying to start an evil empire. Its crazy. Its a dancing competition. Shes a lovely girl. Give her a break!A lot of fans are flipping out on the internet and insisting theyll never watch the show again if Bristol wins. How do you respond to that?
Unfortunately, people get pissed on this show. Its the nature of it. Your favorite gets kicked off and you think its unfair. Theres a massive difference between unfair and something else going on. Life isnt always fair. You could probably nominate the best dancer after only two shows you might as well just stop the season right then. Its about improvement, its about where people go. Bristols our most improved dancer. People threaten to leave the country if the next government wins the election. They tend not to. At the end of the day, they should be mobilizing their friends, getting their children to vote, talk about it in the office, you know? Make those calls. Its a pretty easy process. Its very easy to influence the results of this show if youre passionate about it. The fans have always had a say in the past about who wins, and frequently someone wins who they dont agree with. I havent always agreed with the person whos won. Everyone has their favorites. Thats the nature of it. Get involved!
Should we tell them that Freepers have rigged the last three seasons of American Idol..?
It doesn’t appeal to me much, but...my wife really enjoys it, so...that is a good thing for me! I simply don’t watch television (except for NFL football...:) so I have NEVER understood “American Idol”, “Survivor” or any of that other stuff (Though we did have a great “Extreme Makeover” episode in my neighborhood...I recall that was one of the bitterest, cold winters stretches we had in years!)
You’re welcome...:)
Same here, never watched it, have no interest. But, for the first time, I’m gonna vote on Monday with EVERY DAMN PHONE IN THE HOUSE just for the FUN of it. I’m not even gonna watch the show. There was a gal on Rush’s show this week that said she voted for Bristol because she got $50k an episode (don’t know if that’s true) and that was her way of spreading the wealth. The whole idea just cracked me up. More power to her! Go Bristol the pistol! HA!
LOL!
Congratulations — especially you, Clint.
Yeah, liberal heads can explode at the drop of a hat.
Gotcha!
Oh my gosh mojoe....am laughing my butt off at those photos....hysterical!
Set up like survivor where we boot off someone every week. I say we start with the Romney-ites!
