SAN DIEGO John Tyner won't be pheasant hunting in South Dakota with his father-in-law any time soon.
Tyner was simultaneously thrown out of San Diego International Airport on Saturday morning for refusing to submit to a security check and threatened with a civil suit and $10,000 fine if he left.
And he got the whole thing on his cell phone. Well, the audio at least.
The 31-year-old Oceanside software programmer was supposed to leave from Lindbergh Field on Saturday morning and until a TSA agent directed him toward one of the recently installed full-body scanners, Tyner seemed to be on his way.

Oy vey!
Don’t touch the gentiles.
OK, Mr. Sheeple; enjoy your flights and your ever expanding government.
So what they have is totally useless. Even if they used x-rays it would be totally useless.
The ONLY option to keep us safe is profiling. There would still be the possibility that somebody could be hypnotized or something, to evade the behavioral detection, but if somebody went to the trouble of hypnotzing somebody they’re not gonna just put a bomb inside their clothes, which is all either of these measures would detect.
I'm going to have to bury my foot in your ass. turn around
“That wasn’t what I was responding to, and you know it”
I only know what you typed. You said you could hijack a plane with a boxcutter.
“I’d almost rather let the passengers and crew be responsible for the security on their own flight, giving them whatever exemptions from the law as the TSA folks are now being given.”
How about monitoring people likely to be a terrorist?? They only real threat is explosives on the plane. Anything else will be handled by the passengers.
Imagine what Hitler would do?
I’ve been getting that ‘vibe’ as well.
Good for Tyner. Let’s see TSA threaten a groin check, lawsuit , and a fine to a woman in a traditional muslim clothing and see what happens.
Do you seriously think our enemies haven’t thought of these things? Are you really that naive?
Many of their leaders are educated at the best American universities.

Welcome to FR, Mr. Obama.
Remember the Asian guy who was made up to look like an old man? How did they catch him?
See, this is why just cultural profiling would not be enough. There has to be behavioral profiling. Muslims bent on jihad are just fine dressing up and acting as if they weren’t Muslims; it’s taqiyya. And there are more Muslims who are not necessarily Arab also. But we could stand to learn a LOT from the Israelis’ security. They know how to look for TERRORISTS.
Including 9/11 around 3500 people have been killed in terrorist caused incidents on US airplanes in the last 10 years.
Hospitals and doctors mistakenly killed around 95,000 a year.
Car accidents kill something like 55,000 people a year.
While each death is tragic terrorists attacks on airplanes represent a greater threat to the economy than to human lives.
How many terrorist attacks have been stopped by airport security since 9/11? The ones stopped were stopped by passengers.
“Remember the Asian guy who was made up to look like an old man? How did they catch him?”
He took his mask off, otherwise they would not have caught him.
But everyone gets nuked and degraded. Good choice.
I just hope they buy me dinner and a beer first. I like to get to know someone first before I have to endure that type of screening.
people are traveling too much anyway - just stay home and play with the kids.
Absolutely.
Why the Israeli Airport Authority Doesn't Use Full-Body Scanners
OOOOOhhh, the ghost of Patton’s gonna getcha!!!
