DeMint says a new RNC chairman is needed

Shortcomings in Republican efforts during the elections are a reason Michael Steele should not continue as chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC), a senator said in an interview Sunday.

"Our ground game, was not as strong as it could've been. We were outmanned on the ground," Sen. Jim DeMint said on Fox New Sunday.

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-S.C.) said Steele should be ousted because Republicans could have done a better job reaching voters.

She has more time under her belt than any rino could hope for. Just in these past two years, she became known to the world because of her accomplishments. When she speaks, everyone listens. Her dust is in the face of Mitt/Huck/Newt. They know it, why don’t you?

I don’t know whether Rudy would hurt the fundraising efforts in the hinterlands, but otherwise I like it.

I agree with DeMint. I will admit that I was an early supporter of Steele’s. Makes my disappointment in his leadership of the RNC all the greater. He came on strong in the closing days before the 2010 elections, to be completely fair. But in my book, that doesn’t make up for the last two years. Time for a change.

You and Rove need to get together. Your from MA? The rest of this country do not need to follow the strategy from your state. It is RINO country. Take care of the swamp pool you have up there and then come to talk to me.

I would like to see him in the Justice Department and lead the charge of corruption especially the unholy alliance with the democrats.

All I am saying is that it would be better if she had more time in at that level. She is better than Mitt the twit and the other quiet rinos, but imangine how much better she would be after 4 or 8 years as VP.
Rest assured, if she got the nod in 2012, I would vote for her in a minute.
Anything to put that moron Rove in his place. Why the GOP even listens to that clown is beyond me.

That’s a very interesting perspective. Why not? As long as the Chairperson isn’t out there coughing up hairballs, your thoughts hold merit.

OTOH, as far star power and fundrasing goes, I see Rudy as a selling point with the 10th anniversary of 9/11 coming up. RINO-leanings or not, he offers a 180 degree contrast to Obama who will be milking the event for every drop he can. And Rudy would be a fine AG.

More time for what? This country doesn’t have time! She’s more than qualified. Qualifications aren’t the only thing that one needs though. You need leadership skills, she overflows in that area. USA needs a PATRIOT in the WH, she’s that hands down.

“Palin for RNC Chair: No other can raise the money she can.”

Not just no, but hell no!

RNC Chairman is a thankless position where Republicans go to die a political death. I nominate Mitt Romney. He’s even better at raising money than Gov. Palin is.

4) Giulliani is a crook.

Remember his ties to the mob and his support of a now jailed felonious NYC security chief?

I would not give them a red cent if Rudy was chair.

The RNC is top down dysfunctional.

They are trying to keep the Tea Party support without pissin' off the Pro-Choice NE and elsewhere Blue Hair Reptile Republicans.

Just my gut feel they hate the Tea Party Types as much as they hated the Christian Coalition and will try to pay us the same lip service.

They want to be the Alfa Male in the Pig Pen ( K Street ) and hand out the Swill.

We don't want Pigs or Swill. We want our Constitutionally Limited Republic Back.

They will sacrifice a candidate that is a tea party type when money is tight and that sucks.

I saw no "Project 72" GOTV in the 2010 cycle, please tell me different if you did.

Time for top to bottom reorganization of the RNC and maybe even move the HQ out of Washington DC.

Just my 2 cents, and these opinions are not just based on watching this from the outside...
