I no longer allow any employee to fly. If remote access to a terminal or site can fix it - no need to go.

I only fly to see my children at college and instead of 4 times a year - cut to one.

I refuse to fly for two simple reasons:

1. over 25% tax on your movement
2. customer is treated like crap by system.

I do not work my butt off and try my best to be treated as I was in my last flight. Life is too short to do that.

I have come to the sad conclusion that all these people “protecting” us are morons, from the top to the bottom.

From what I have seen of the people hired by TSA, we are doomed if they are our first line of defense against terrorist acts in the air.

They are usually fat, insolent, appear lazy and inconvenienced by having to do any work, and regard the public as annoying and stupid.

I do not want to fly any more, and will avoid it at all costs.

. . . or felt up for no apparent reason by people who under normal circumstances would be asking them if they wanted to super size their fries.

I think the employees of McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, Hardee's and the rest are owed an apology for that remark.

Fast food workers need to please their customers to keep their jobs. TSA agents only have to show up for work.

I will say it again: the TSA has made a ‘Frequent Driver’ and I have no regrets.
I only fly when I have no other options, period!

When the airlines first implemented ‘close’ screening techniques after 9/11, I recall reading an anonymous blog post by a guy who was a cop in Los Angeles (I believe his pseudonym was Dunphy). This guy wrote something like.

“I was selected for additional screen by a female airline employee. After a pat down like that, I do believe someone owes me dinner.”

At the time - I laughed at the dry comment. It’s common enough for women to strenuously object to being touched by strangers, especially male - but I had never heard a man complain of the violation of decency posed by an intrusive pat down (in this case it was by a woman) by either gender. I had only heard men object to the civil rights aspect of being subjected to a search. I appreciated that he said what he felt and wondered how many other male passengers in other situations actually object but don’t feel that their objections will be correctly respected because they are men.
For example, I have watched ‘COPS’ type TV footage where the camera will roll while police grab fabric between the legs, along the groin, etc. of a male suspect and I always think it’s a violation of basic decency to film that for public consumption. The men never seem to object but by the time the police have you in a headlock I imagine you have other problems to distract you.
It wasn’t until recently with the full body mash the TSA is conducting that I heard a man say something like this and now men are objecting vigorously. Given that they seem to have been suffering in relative silence for many years during a time when women complaints would more likely receive an appropriate response for this form of abuse, it really has got to be BAD by the time men are refusing pat down and referring to molest now. Doesn’t make me wanna fly anywhere...ever.

Next time I go through the airport, I will refuse the scanner. If the TSA begins shouting “Opt Out” in an attempt to humiliate me, I will drop my drawers right there in the airport and put the onus on them where it belongs. People are really going to be upset when they see what looks like the TSA demanding someone to drop his drawers in a public airport.

I enjoy flying. It's a helluva thing to be that far off the ground. But I only that say that to say this: I haven't been on a commercial flight in twelve years because of what an inexcusable pain in the ass it was in dealing with airport terminal personnel even then. Unless there is a sea change in the way that mode of public transportation performs its duties, I'll drive myself wherever I want to go. The burden of an extra few hours of transit time, in my mind, is minuscule compared to the personal freedom I enjoy as my own pilot, flight attendant, and tour guide. And if I want a steak mid-flight, I follow the highway signs, then pull over and I get it. They can shove their complimentary stale peanuts, or Saltines, or whatever nine different federal agencies says is the existentially-correct form of airline rodent food this week. If I wanted to go to Kuala Lumpur, I'll drive to the dock and let a boat take me there, and not have to suffer the indignity of some chimpanzee with a badge squeezing my weasel to see if it's loaded.

"But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away, for his name is Obama."

Interesting premise on the other thread.... BHO is trying to intentionally break the airlines by allowing SIS to require either radiation or sexual assault of all passengers. Passengers will refuse to fly, thereby causing the airlines to fail. Then BHO will take control of the airlines like he did GM...

Sounds very plausible and Alinski-ish to me.

Israeli Security experts must be laughing at the pathetic TSA. Meanwhile, Janet’s Keystone Cops aka perverts are committing sexual harassment on millions of Americans.

The sh_t is really going to hit the fan with Thanksgiving. Better add an extra 1.5 hours for standing in line to be groped, especially if your airport is a major hub.
