At least 15 people have been killed and 100 injured in a massive explosion that ripped through the centre of Pakistan's largest city.

A local journalist has told Sky News that a police station close to the US consulate in Karachi was the prime target and has collapsed.

The explosion struck in a high-security area of the city that is also home to two luxury hotels and the offices of government leaders.

According to Sindh province home minister Zulfiqar Mirza, a gang of around six gunmen first opened fire on the office of the Crime Investigation Department before detonating a massive car bomb.

Shamilla Farooqi, a spokeswoman for the government in Sindh, said: "There are five policemen among the dead."

Witnesses have described a 10ft crater outside the building, which houses a prison facility that may have been holding militants.

They sure are.

“Witnesses and police said the building, which belonged to the police’s Crime Investigation Department (CID), collapsed trapping people under the rubble.

An AFP reporter saw dozens of vehicles destroyed and damaged after the attack as rescue workers stretchered casualties into ambulances.

“The building has been completely destroyed. I can see a crater of 15 feet (five metres). Some houses were also badly damaged,” senior police official Tariq Razzaq Dharejo told AF”

As long as they keep blowing up Muslims in far away Muslim countries, I guess this doesn’t bother me.

Pakistani Taliban claims responsibility for Karachi attack

A squad of terrorists fought their way into a supposedly secure area of Pakistan's largest city Karachi before detonating a huge truck bomb, killing at least 18 people and wounding 100 more.

The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility, saying they attacked an anti-terrorism police headquarters in revenge for offensives against militants in the north-west of the country Eyewitnesses said the Crime Investigation Department (CID) building was demolished by a blast that left a 10ft wide crater

Obviously, the US needs to reach out to Islam.

Muslims... can’t live with them... can’t live with them.

The problem is that Bambi is so sympathetic to Muslims that he is actually encouraging this. They know there will be no cost to them as long as Imam Obama is in power in the US.

That’s weird... Karachi’s one of the safest places to live. That’s why bin Laden’s there.

You touched on something important here. I also believe that Obama speaking platitudes to Islamic peoples gives them the impression that he supports their “struggle”. Now, how one goes about that struggle Obama leaves that to the imagination of the audience. Obama, and his advisers, have not a clue what his “outreach” to Muslim’s is doing throughout the world.

Or, maybe 0bastard and co. do have a clue what his outreach is doing to Muzzies around the world.

0bastard personally is indeed dumb (and brain damaged from drugs, probably) but is he also evil and likes Muzzies more than anything (besides guys like Larry Sinclair), and he likes commies too of course.

From “Scary Facts about Islam”: http://www.unleavenedbreadministries.org/?page=scaryfacts

100% [Muslim population] will usher in the peace of ‘Dar-es-Salaam’ — the Islamic House of Peace. Here there’s supposed to be peace, because everybody is a Muslim, the Madrasses are the only schools, and the Koran is the only word, such as in:

Afghanistan — Muslim 100%
Saudi Arabia — Muslim 100%
Somalia — Muslim 100%
Yemen — Muslim 100%

Unfortunately, peace is never achieved, as in these 100% states the most radical Muslims intimidate and spew hatred, and satisfy their blood lust by killing less radical Muslims, for a variety of reasons.

‘Before I was nine I had learned the basic canon of Arab life. It was me against my brother; me and my brother against our father; my family against my cousins and the clan; the clan against the tribe; the tribe against the world, and all of us against the infidel. — Leon Uris, ‘The Haj’

Personally, I think he does support their “struggle,” because he sees Islam as the ultimate anti-Western movement, and I think he does know what he’s doing.

He doesn’t dare come out and say this (yet), so he simply speaks the platitudes that will be safe for him and give him deniability if he is challenged, but which at the same time are perfectly intelligible to his Muslim audience.
