In the nose of the rocket is a little thing called a “guidance system” It can change course anytime. This whole thing is stinky cheese. The reason NorthCom can tell us with certainty that there is no threat to the US is because they know exactly what happened. They just are not telling us.
You do not launch West for orbital payloads in the US.
Good one, but after decades of flights, we crazy Kalifornians are just now starting to notice these Honolulu missiles. Guess we should have been looking up from our bongs more often, dude !
I’ve learned more about missle launches in 15 minutes reading this thread than I knew about this subject in my entire life.
FR is the cat’s meow.
I live under a flight path close to Lake Michigan...I see contrails over my house all day long...Have never seen one that looks like that...
The color is typical of a contrail at sunset but the erratic path and amount of contrail resembles something more like one would see coming out of Cape Canaveral...
BUMP
Just talking to myself here. I have seen a number of missile launches, Nike-Herc and HAWKS on Okinawa. These things go up right smartly. IIRC the top speed of the Nike was somewhere around 3000 mph. No idea what the rate of acceleration was.
Near the “bottom” end of the “contrail” the wind distortion of it is quite obvious, but becomes less so with the “increase of altitude.” But still, with the rate of acceleration of the “missile” the “contrail” just does not look right.
In pic 10, there is a darker line more or less intersecting with the “missile”. This does not appear to be a cloud because of the wind direction. No idea what it might be. Just observing. Done talking with myself now. Have a great day.
I wonder why the autopsy reports of the passengers were classified. Was the fregments indicative of a war head!
After the crash records of of other man launched anti aircarft systems were disclosed.
Why the coverup?
Look at the conehead of the trail, it is not an aircraft and if it was routine, why did so many folks report it as “unusual”. It was perhaps a test towards Kwajalin Island? Not sure.
Would NORAD and the other myriad agencies be so stupified? Come on. This was a US launch.
OK, maybe not orbital but how about sub-orbital, is that a possibility? How about a target missile for another system being tested? How about decoys? The possibilities are not so small.
Judging from the shots I saw, that’s the exhaust plume of a solid propellant rocket motor. The point of origin is either at sea level or from a subsurface launch. The trajectory is definitely that of a missile. The flight profile looks like either a cruise missle or SAM and not a ballistic missile.
The question is what do the FAA radar tapes reveal origin, course, and speed?
Then, who’s the responsible party?
That and the fact that the gov has no problem lying to the public. This is the kind of thing they have kept secret all along. Even if it came from a hostile as a warning they could say honestly that there is no threat. The caveat is that there is no immediate threat as it was obviously a warning (saber rattling).
But your hunch is the most likely scenario. It was ours and for some reason they don't want to own up to it.
It was launched in international waters and took a course away from the CONUS. Assuming we have a defense against it and assuming it was spotted immediately then it follows that we assessed it as a non-threat and did nothing instead of revealing our capabilities.
I lean toward the speculation that it was ours but if it was, for instance, China's and they were probing our responses they learned little for certain. They might know from radio chatter whether we were on it or asleep at the wheel but it may be very difficult for them to ascertain why we didn't fire at it.
They can only guess that we have no capability to, are too slow on the trigger, have no will to respond, have constipation in the command structure or, as I laid out above, we had it dead in our sights and correctly called it no threat within seconds. I'd love to believe that last one but...
Thanks for pointing that darker line out. Major tinfoil alert. Been seeing these darker lines here in Kalifornia. Have seen them twice now in the past three years. Call them dark rays. First time I saw one was up around Sacramento. Was driving from Napa to the 5 Freeway. Was in the major wetlands area there and saw my first dark ray out to the northeast over Sacramento. Took a picture of that one but it had faded by the time I got the camera out. Can barely see it. Then about a year later saw some down here in San Bernardino County. There were multiple parallel dark rays and I got a good shot of them from the car. Will dig up images and see if I can make them public somehow. Possible the dark rays could just be shadow rays, but they look like something a bit more exotic. Originally thought they were connected to some stupid government Global Cooling project (to prevent warming), but that image you pointed out brings up more possibilities.
And now the Tinfoil part. There is a Jewish Mysticism group that talks about dark rays from the moon. Found this page via a google search a year ago. The Dark Rays of the Moon: Yom Kippur Katan as Preparation for Rosh Chodesh
FIRE. FIRE!
