Americas favorite fictional mogul could be looking to move his office from 30 Rock to Capitol Hill, MSNBC reported today. The network is quoting sources close to actor Alec Baldwin as saying the actor intends to challenge Randy Altschuler of New York for Congress in two years if the Republican candidate ends up winning the House seat currently occupied by Rep. Tim Bishop, D-N.Y. The Altschuler-Bishop race is one of a handful still deemed too close to call; the most recent count shows Bishop, a four-term incumbent, trailing by less than 400 votes. Baldwin is no stranger to politics. He has been both criticized and acclaimed for his outspoken support of the Democratic Party (he donated $2,000 to Bishops campaign this year), and in an interview with CNN last year, revealed his interest in running for public office. The desire is there; thats one component, he said. The other component is opportunity.

I will not shoot and eat any animal that eats meat.
That was hilarious.
He should be perfect in that part because “politics is show business for ugly people”.
As pathetic as Balwin is, he’s still less pathetic than Al Franken. Of course, Baldwin likely wouldn’t have to cheat to win.
Of course, whoever Baldwin’s opponent it, their slogan could be “Don’t treat us like piggies”.
Didn’t we just get rid of the lite version of this loser? Alan Grayson?
Just what the Dems need-—
Another imbecile with a big mouth.
I’m late to this one, but I thought this was his angle all along. The left is willing to excuse his tirades and faux pas’, his SNL pals got him a slot on 30 Rock (and yes, he’s funny) but just couldn’t shake the thought even then that he was trying to launch himself as Franken did. Spare us, indeed. LOL, he will be good at orating and enjoying the sound of his own rants and rambles.
