George W Bush thinks Sarah Palin is 'unqualified'
Telegraph UK ^

Mr Bush has allegedly told friends that Mrs Palin is not qualified to be president and criticises John McCain for picking her as his Running Mate in 2008
"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man," a Republican official close to Mr Bush told the New York Daily News.
"He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin."
Mr Bush has allegedly been disparaging about Mrs Palin in the past.
Matt Latimer, former special assistant to Mr Bush, wrote in a book released last year: "'I'm trying to remember if I've met her before. I'm sure I must have.' [Mr Bush's] eyes twinkled, then he asked, 'What is she, the governor of Guam?'"

Bush, a governor. That’s was pretty much his only qualification. Sarah was a governor. So, I guess Bush is stating he was unqualified, too? I thought he was.

Well if Bush made those comments then I would say he is the Eastern RINO Elitist he always was.
Bush lied from the git go about who he really was. He was never a Conservative, if I had known he was going to push all the spending he did and enact new Entitlements I never would have voted for him.
He partly handled the War on Terrorism well, if he had never gone onto Iraq and had just concentrated on Afghanistan that would have been fine and he would have looked better.
This guy though made a lot of mistakes and in the end was just like his Father a Faux Conservative. I will never ever vote for another of the Bush family for Public Office!!

Sure it would be OK. The point about Presidents not saying bad things about other Presidents applies to PResidents. If Palin wins, then he wouldn’t say bad things about her because she’d be a President.
Bush shouldn’t “bad-mouth” Palin, and there’s no real evidence he did, but the reason for not doing so is entirely different than the reason he won’t say bad things about the current President, even though the current President doesn’t follow the courtesy that most every President has followed.
To: Markos33
And you’re really good at it too. :-)

Presidents should bad mouth current presidents if what they are doing is detrimental to the health of the country. The oath of a President doesn’t stop after he leaves office. He still is sworn to protect the country from all enemies foreign and domestic, that includes sitting Presidents. Taking the “high ground” is what cost this country much of our freedom. Bush needs to have his ass whipped or jailed at the very least for the hurt his BS closed mouth policies have cost this country.

Amazing. I’m suprised that there hasn’t been more highjacking going on. I posted on this thread late last night when Jim first zotted Chet (we knew it was coming) and it is still going!
Some great comments, hard to tell if it is the Bush topic or Chet’s zotting, that is the big draw here.
