MSNBC host Keith Olbermann made campaign contributions to two Arizona members of Congress and failed Kentucky Senate candidate Jack Conway ahead of Tuesday’s election — a potential violation of NBC ethics policies.

Olbermann, who acknowledged the contributions in a statement to POLITICO, made the maximum legal donations of $2,400 apiece to Conway and to Arizona Reps. Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. He donated to the Arizona pair on Oct. 28 — the same day that Grijalva appeared as a guest on Olbermann’s “Countdown” show.

Both Bachman and Cantor were interviewed by the MSDNC usual crew of morons on election night, including madcow. I was so hoping that when either Cantor or Bachman were finished, they’d have concluded with, “Thank you gentlemen.”

Iam shocked! I would have never guessed that Keith was a democrat supporter.

I always thought of him as more of an athletic supporter.

The best way to suspend Olberstormfurher is by his balls, from a telephone pole, in the middle of a blizzard.

Ah, the imagery!

First dear Helen Thomas, then Rick Sanchez, now Keith. They are self-destructing, as are all the Demrats, in the media and in the Congress. Gotta love it. They just can’t catch a break, can they?

I am as hard right conservative as they come, but my instincts tell me there is something wrong with this... The courts have said that money in the form of campaign contributions equals speech, right? If Olbermann wished to, as an individual, not acting in his capacity as a commentator, support financially with his own money candidates that he wished to see elected, that’s his business!

So the Jeff Imelt is the worst, person in the worrrrrrrrlllld!

After all Keith is a ocmmentator, not an anchor, so he shouldn’t be held to the same journalistic standards, and as such should be reinstated immediately. Besides, it would take away a lot of show prep for Hannity, Limbaugh, Ingraham and Savage... So in the interest of free speech, we should step up to the bat and defend Olbermann’s right to support candidates he personally wishes to see elscted... In the spirit of what we believe as conservatives, it is what we should do as a group..

I think it’s in his contract. I think someone on Hugh Hewitt said that today.

When someone with a big mouth and combative attitude pisses off the higher ups, the higher ups look for a reason to get rid of them. Olberman has a big mouth, a combative attitude and antagonized the higher ups. They found a reason to make an example of him.

Oh well.
