New House Judiciary Chairman to Obama: Prepare for Investigations
Veteran Congressman will head influential House Judiciary Committee

The San Antonio Congressman who is in line to become chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee is promising 'a number of investigations and oversight committee actions' which he vows will 'hold the administration accountable,’ 1200 WOAI news reports.
Veteran Republican Lamar Smith, a Yale graduate and social conservative who grew up in the brush country of south Texas which is now transit point for illegal immigrants and drugs, said in a news conference that a number of issues will come into the sights of his committee when he takes the chairmanship in January, from cracking down on child pornography to taking the Obama Administration to task for failing to do enough to protect the southern border.
Smith says it is his Constitutional duty.
"Part of that checks and balances is in fact holding the administration accountable, is in fact insisting on more transparency, is insisting on more honesty, and getting the facts," Smith said. "Right now, because of the one party monopoly, the Administration has been able to dodge any kind of supervision, any kind of oversight committee action, and they refuse to testify, and that is no longer acceptable."

Wow, that is unreal. I bet 99% of the population has any idea that this guy is the School Czar. That this assclown in the white house is ok with this guy dropped him even lower in my view, which I did not think was possible.
What in the heck are these czars anyway? How are they paid? Do they have staff? Just when did we say it was ok for these unknown people to be hired as a czar? Total BS if you ask me.

You would be wrong !! The core matter in America’s war against our enemies is to cut the head of the snake off as soon as it can be done. Any and all efforts to tie Obama into a straight jacket is the first order of things.
There will many parallel actions to do this and getting his minions and him before committees is a good way to start.
The notion of “acting like a bunch of kangaroo court democrats.” is a defeatist attitude and makes me wonder what your politics are ?
That’s why we have committee chairmen. They need to grind on Obama while we get the real work of the country done.

Any investigation better be legit, hate witch hunts of any form. There are SOME things that stand to be investigated, like the way the admin turned a blind eye to the Black Panthers, etc... but if they start looking at silly things, it will cheapen them.

Wouldn’t it be better not to give him any warning at all? Now they have time to destroy the most damning evidence, including paying off/getting rid of key people.

Sure, they have important issues, and this is one of them. They can multi-task, ya know? Besides, repealing obamacare is going to be met with a veto from zero anyway. They have to at least go down that road. Naw, they need investigations, and the sooner, the better.

Bad move right now. Concentrate on economic-related issues and hold off until next fall. Then don’t go after Obama himself but his minions. We don’t need charges of “racism” labeled at us, but as someone else said, there is a target rich environment with his aides and czars.
