New House Judiciary Chairman to Obama: Prepare for Investigations
Veteran Congressman will head influential House Judiciary Committee

The San Antonio Congressman who is in line to become chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee is promising 'a number of investigations and oversight committee actions' which he vows will 'hold the administration accountable,’ 1200 WOAI news reports.
Veteran Republican Lamar Smith, a Yale graduate and social conservative who grew up in the brush country of south Texas which is now transit point for illegal immigrants and drugs, said in a news conference that a number of issues will come into the sights of his committee when he takes the chairmanship in January, from cracking down on child pornography to taking the Obama Administration to task for failing to do enough to protect the southern border.
Smith says it is his Constitutional duty.
"Part of that checks and balances is in fact holding the administration accountable, is in fact insisting on more transparency, is insisting on more honesty, and getting the facts," Smith said. "Right now, because of the one party monopoly, the Administration has been able to dodge any kind of supervision, any kind of oversight committee action, and they refuse to testify, and that is no longer acceptable."

I disagree.
We simply can’t afford to let this stuff go. This administration has to be investigated and held accountable from the President on down. If we don’t do it now we may loose our liberty completely to the next group of would be tyrants.
Sometimes have to apply a tourniquet before you can set a broken bone.
If we have no rule of law it makes no difference what laws get passed. The first step is to regain the rule of law; then the laws that are passed can make a difference.
This country has experienced a coup. We need to get our country back from the control of the coup and THEN we can get back to the job of carrying on as a Constitutional republic. Until we become a Constitutional republic again it’s pointless to go through the motions as if we still were.
Indeed. We better annihilate obamacare first or the sick among us will be the dead. Seriously.

Yep, Holder needs to be put away also.
I think it would be fitting if he is put someplace with the most violent of the illegal aliens.
It's his JOB, in his position...and the faster he starts , the faster the rats will start to scurry and turn on their own.
We need that happening before the next campaigning cycle gets under way - it will eliminate some of the worst candidates.
Strike while the iron is hot...and before they've h ad a chance to dig in their heels. They're off balance right now. That's when you give ‘em a good shove.

Absolutely - why do we have a “racist” running the Department of [In]Justice? If he will prosecute whites, but not prosecute blacks, he is a racist!!
No no no, oversight and hearings are priority. There is so much corruption in this administration that the American people need to have it aired. If it leads to indictments and/or resignations so be it

Sic ‘em, Lamar! Start by telling Obama that all his czars will be called to testify before his committee. There wouldn’t be enough moving vans to accommodate the sudden exodus, and the illegal czar system would be dead.
Next, call Eric Holder to question him on his relationship with the Black Panthers and Holder’s racist attitude regarding justice for White people. Make sure Fox News is there to cover that hearing because the rest of the media won’t.

The new Republican House majority will have a picnic subpoenaing Holder, the Obama administration poster child for incompetence, dishonesty and radicalism. Unfortunately, he will no doubt have found newer opportunities before the majority takes their seats and avoid the pain.
Not good news for Eric (The Red) Holder. He’s probably considering the wording of his resignation letter already and may need some help.
