Post what you're seeing, hearing in your district, county or state during the day and evening- anecdotal or otherwise!
GOTV!!!!!
The question was, what is your message for Democrats today?
Tom answered However bad you thought it was going to be, its going to be worse (or words to that effect).
This is actually not a bad message for all who have a habit of voting Democrat. It is bad only for those who insist on continuing to vote Democrat!
The reason it is likely to be much worse than the polls predict is that all polls are based on historic Dem vs Rep vs Ind voting patterns. Unfortunately for the Dems, a LOT of people who typically voted Dem are either staying home or are switching parties for this election.
Meanwhile, the liberal pollsters are slanting their figures in the OTHER direction by assuming higher than actual Dem turnout. The resulting swing could be MASSIVE!
Me too. At regular speed, and then again in slow motion.
Also frame by frame.
I want to watch that head explode. I can’t because that channel number has rusted over the years of non-use. CNN isn’t in my clicker.
rewind would be fun to watch.
Apples and Oranges argument since those were recount thefts. I would say Scott Brown and Chris Christie would be a closer example and destroys your argument. But hey, you have the favorite winning that seat so we shall see who is “braying” and who is throwing cold water.
Pray for the election
Back from 4 of us voting straight ticket! No lines, but steady flow. We were #210, but a lot of early ballots in the box. They checked IDs and addresses thoroughly and one guy, whose address on the DL was the old address and didn’t match the voting record. He had to bring in his car registration to show that that it matched with the voter registration roll. I was impressed. :D
I held my nose and voted McCain only because the Senate is so important right now. Any other time, I would have voted for the Libertarian.
Ballot box man was the same guy that was there for the primaries. He said the turnout was higher, but the most traffic comes at the end of the day.
Maybe it will be on Youtube. Maybe we can download it.
Just got home from work. Got beer chillin’ for the long night ahead. Voted. Carl Paladino, if you must know. Any major developments yet? I don’t want to go through 500+ posts.
I talked to my Dad in PA - Washington County. As of 1:00 p.m. approx. 100 showed up which is low. However, I can count on one hand how many Repubs there are from my hometown. At least 20 lifelong Dems, which are friends and relatives of the family, voted for an Repub. for the first time.
A campaign worker for a local Dem was speaking to my parents unaware that they were conservatives. She was frantic saying the Dem voters weren’t showing up and was bashing a neighboring town that has a very strong Dem majority. In contrast, she said that another neighboring town had 400 ballots by 1:00, mostly Repub., showing an extremely high Repub. turnout. She then went on to say that Republicans are liars...yada, yada, yada....:)
Exit polls for statewide races should start coming out very shortly.
Of course, Montana didn't have Senators back then. So his career choices were limited.
Thanks! I needed that!
If so, I might try capturing a screen-cap for my desktop.
Bump for later cheering!
I vote in a little one-room schoolhouse in rural Idaho. I had to park down the road this morning. No room. Never saw the like. I don’t think it means a lot since this is a pretty conservative area anyway, but if it’s that passionate here I can only hope it translates to areas more in play. Cross fingers and Eagles Up!
Hey man, I’d love to be wrong, but if I recall correctly you were predicting a 2008 win for the R’s too, right up until Tuesday evening. I hope you’re right, but no amount of “positive thinking” will prevent voter fraud on a scale so massive we’ve yet to grasp it.
Just voted PA-19. Steady. About 35% turn out and they are saying at this rate they may close at 45%.
