My mom added food dye to make it butter-yellow, but we still wouldn’t touch it. It was gross!

Here's some of that reckless GOP spending in a pretty graph, to show just how bad it was...

Don't condemn them before they've even started! The facts - see the graph above - prove the GOP cuts spending and cuts the deficit. No 2006 GOP loss, and we'd probably have had zero deficits these last few years...

"...devastating to air this so close to the election"

Yes, all 10 people who saw it are shocked and may decide to vote for...let's see, which party is in power now? I forget. Oh yeah, Dancing with the Stars is on.

I dined at a Perkins Restaurant in Memphis this last weekend in a fairly UMC part of town. My waiters were 50 somethings men that spoke very good English. I looked around, few of the waiters were young and most were over 40’s. These were not the typical waiters I have been used to, the demographics have changed along with the economy.

Well I sure have sympathy because my 24 year old may want to move home after finishing grad school and my 21 year old may want to move home after finishing her undergrad and my 19 year old, well, he’s a soph so maybe things will turn around before he thinks about moving home. But the two older ones wished this on themselves by voting for the cool black dude who was going to change things.

It is frightening and once in this situation, you do not care who is in office or not, you care about survival and how you are going to feed your family and where you are going to live. It does turn your life upside down. I know, because we experienced it.

Thanks. I hate revisionist history, whether from the Left OR Right. We've got problems to face, why beat up on those who can - and will - address them face on before they even have a chance? One of the best posts ever at FR was Reagan's words about the realities of politics, and I fear too many have forgotten his sage words:

"When I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didn't like it.

"Compromise" was a dirty word to them and they wouldn't face the fact that we couldn't get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you don't get it all, some said, don't take anything.

"I'd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: 'I have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.'

"If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and that's what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it.

Let's do the best we can now, accept the wins, and fight to overcome defeats. I'll take defunding and defanging of Obamacare for now, with outright repeal delayed until we have a GOP majority in Congress AND a President who'll sign such a bill.

I think a review of Sun Tzu's Art of War is in order, especially as the battle is just now being engaged, and we need to prepare for the results...

When someone on Facebook complained about conservatives and Republicans, I replied —sarcasm alert— “boy it’s terrible that the Republican president we’ve had the past 2 years has tripled the deficit and he’s always going off to play golf or do TV shows, and that Republican-dominated Congress—why, it’s
Republicans like Barney Frank who screw up the Fannie Mae
and Freddie Mac...and oh, here in Massachusetts? We’re in such bad shape because about 98 per cent of officeholders
are Republicans! Throw them out and vote for Democrats
instead!”

(bizarro setup, of course—to drive home the point as to who caused all this...)

“So what the GOP should do is radically increase the annual contribution limits to 401(k)’s and IRAs, and just talk about ONE thing for SS and Mediscare: means testing. Just say “There’s no need for the government to give Bill Gates and Warren Buffett a Social Security check.” Just that ONE thing - means testing - breaks the “entitlement” legal roadblock.... and after that, just like the income tax, they can start playing with the means testing limits.”

That seems like a good idea to start. We’ve got to get control of the entitlements — that’s the killer — for EU as well.

This is the Clintons taking out Obama so Hillary can run in 2012.

ABSOLUTELY. Hillary has to run in 2012 or she’ll be too old. Plus they hate Obama and he’s killing the RAT Party for many years to come.

Is the butter made from organic breast milk? Where are you located? Here you can get a pound of butter (store brand)for $1.98 or $2.00. LOL on sale can is 2/$4.

Hmmm...forget about black market cigarettes, I see the potential for black market butter.

No, this is the Clintons taking out Obama so Hillary can run in 2012. RATS do not leave the land fill. They are still vermin. 60 Minutes is still a RAT operation. They just realize that Obama is threatening to make the RAT Party a minority party for a generation.

We turned it over to one who came to destroy. And a midterm election matters not to him.

China may have cheap labor, but melamine in toothpaste and dog food means we can’t let them touch our antibiotics or asthma inhaler.
