The Talk Shows
Sunday, October 24th, 2010
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): Pat Toomey, Republican nominee for Senate in Pennsylvania; Joe Manchin, Democratic nominee for Senate in West Virginia.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): Rep. Chris Van Hollen, D-Md.; former Bush adviser Karl Rove.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Democratic National Committee Chairman Tim Kaine; retired Gen. Hugh Shelton, a former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): Florida Senate debate with Republican nominee Marco Rubio, Democratic nominee Kendrick Meek and independent Charlie Crist.
I totally agree with you, altura!
In fact, I hope the new Republican majority in the House (fingers crossed for the Senate, too) reviews all spending and where its going, and starts making drastic cuts.
Soros’ organizations should NOT be getting any tax $s:
Along With NPR, Soros Groups Get Millions in Taxpayer Funds
National Legal & Policy Center ^ | October 21, 2010 | Peter Flaherty

Excerpt from the article:
National Public Radio’s firing of Juan Williams and its acceptance of a $1.8 million gift from left-wing billionaire George Soros’ foundation have put the spotlight on the NPR’s taxpayer subsidy. What is less well known is that Soros’ private foundations also receive millions in taxpayer funds.
Not only that, but the projects that taxpayers fund through Soros’ foundations appear to violate a federal prohibition on the use of taxpayer funds to promote drug use and prostitution. Our efforts to expose this misuse of tax money in 2007 were met with hostility by the State Department and disinterest in Congress.
In October 2007, NLPC asked the Inspector General of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to investigate the possibility that the agency was violating federal law. Our request came in the wake of the publication of our Special Report titled Soros Groups Receive Taxpayer Funds: State Department Collaborates in Skirting of U.S. Law Against Promoting Drug Use and Prostitution. Click here or on the image to download a 12-page pdf version.
NLPC’s obtained documents through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) showing that between 2001 and 2007 USAID awarded grants totaling $18.3 million to the Open Society Institute, the Soros Foundation Kazakhstan and the Alliance for Open Society International, all Soros-affiliated groups. In addition, USAID and the US State Department have given millions of dollars to Soros’ nonprofits to operate education programs and other “civil society” initiatives in various nations. From 2001 to 2007 USAID and State Department grants to the Soros nonprofit network totaled at least $25.6 million.

It’s Pay Back the Dems Week on MTP.
first, Gregory announces a slew of races and how they are all “tightening” in favor of the Dems. Does anybody think it’s odd that no poll announced on the COD/Coons race which has so captured the nation’s fancy? Either they’re so sure of themselves on this race that they aren’t paying for polling or the poll results are not good for the Dems. Also, Coons has pulled out of all debates with COD....I don’t think that factoid bodes well.
David Brooks, what a pundit this guy is...he says the voters are disgusted by the candidates of BOTH parties and are tossing coins. What the hell kind of analysis is this and how do I get HIS job?
Boxer at 50% over Fiorini at 39%? anybody believes this, I got a bridge to sell cheap.
And you got to laugh...Rachel Maddow.....what an unbiased pundit we have here! And yet she does a better job with her analysis than Brooks!
ALL of the races now tightening in favor of the Dems...WHEW...had them worried for a while there.
An awful lot of ‘new sign ups’ are riding that O’Donnell-bashing bandwagon...hmmm.
Heads Up!!!
Lets Roll!!!
He's a RAT murder/bort. It's the slut vote.
Fish, send my post to Christine. It may inspire her and have her explain to DE this is what she will go do as opposed to those brainwashed lawyers at the liberal law school.
She is a bright woman who will make a difference.
Pray for the Election
I will take your comments into consideration...
Karl is doing great today and we need him to PUSH back as no one else can with his media savy.
Hi RG!
That’s the other thing we need to be very careful of — cheating and voter fraud. There are many threads on FR of it happening alreday. Harris City, TX is one of the more well-known ones, but there are others, including the finding of thousands of suspected Hispanic registrations in Grijalva’s district in AZ (65% found invalid) and Ruth McClung (R) has been doing well:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2612260/posts
The Murray campaign/One America Votes has been using illegals to canvass for her.
Sheila Jackson Lee has appeared at 2 polling places (IIRC she was actually inside one and not voting)
They do this crap every time. Part of it is to keep the donations rolling in from people like Soros. And part of it is to keep their ratings up, as they think the “horse race” thing makes for higher ratings.
Would also like to say that all of those Rove-hating democrats should jump at the chance to vote for O’Donnell and destroy his career forever. Tell your friends in Delaware. LOL!
You're absolutely right...there is another 'catty' segment that will vote AGAINST O'Donnell because some men find her attractive...G-d save us from these idiots...
I LIKE it! Her's your chance to stick it to the SOB Rove, democrats...you'll never get a better chance! Vote O'Donnell!
HA!
Bob Scheiffer, “I can’t speak for the unions”
Rove, “I wouldn’t defend em either Bob.”
Rove welcoming the presence of the TEA party.
Scheiffer asks if Rush took something out of context, Rove claims Rush as a personal friend and credits him for educating the public, says he may have commented on something before he saw the full document.
Hiya SC.
Note in a later post than this to which you responded I pointed out that Gregory of MTP went through a slew of polls and again, NO MENTION OF THE COONS/COD poll? Why? This is a race the country is VERY interested in.
I heard about that case with Joe Miller. Lookit, this is another guy the Blue Blood GOP ruling class don’t want in the senate with them. Lisa Murkowski fits in that chamber fine and they want her back, not some military do-gooder who’ll probably vote against pork.
I’ll never understand some “retired” judge’s ruling that confidential information on someone’s former employment should be released. This is how they’ll keep us down, folks, the Dems and the Blue Blood Ruling Class.
One final thought for a moment...remember always, Mike Castle voted FOR Cap and Trade in the House. Coons will probably vote FOR Cap and Trade in the Senate should the occasion occur. Castle would just as likely have voted FOR Cap and Trade in the Senate, anybody so doubting, I got a bridge to sell cheap. Which is FIRST, what the Delaware voters wanted. Get rid of Castle....which we did. Even the Blue Blood GOP Ruling Class can’t deny this.
So even if Coons gets elected, Delaware at least is in the same position as if Castle won.
And here Gregory says, AGAIN, even though he just announced polls for races across the spectrum....and he says...”This race is NOT close”....ON WHAT DOES HE BASE THIS ASSERTION?...and now Gregory’s blaming O’Donnell for the loss in Pa. WHY NO POLLS ON THE COONS/COD RACE?
“Scheiffer asks if Rush took something out of context, Rove claims Rush as a personal friend and credits him for educating the public, says he may have commented on something before he saw the full document.”
To what was Rove speaking about? what document?
Hillbuzz has the Call me Senator posted - here’s a link:
Uggh...
Consummate liar Van Hollen on Deface the Nation.
All I can comment about him is how every comment he makes is a straight faced whopper...what a talent.
Talking about health insurance company’s record profits...actually one of the lowest margins of any US industry.
And Bob just lets him.
