Figuring out whats inconsistent with NPRs editorial standards can be awful difficult. The network terminated the contract for Fox News contributor Juan Williams because of a comment about Muslims, but apparently has yet to take a similar action against Nina Totenberg. From Reasons Michael Moynihan:
Check out this clip, from way back in 1995, of NPRs Nina Totenberg telling the host of PBSs Inside Washington that if there was retributive justice in the world the (admittedly loathsome) Jesse Helms would get AIDS from a transfusion, or one of his grandchildren will get it. Totenberg is still NPRs legal affairs correspondent.

Don’t you get a free Nina Totenberg when you donate to NPR/PBS ?
The cultural Marxism of NPR is rampant and NPR should be taken off the air. They promote the big lie all the time and silence the truth. It is obvious when they fired Juan.
Just listen to any of their Soros and taxpayer backed broadcasts which promote vile lesbian material and communist agitprop and drug use. Anything to destroy the Christian morality of the family unit—to destroy it and Capitalism—so they can take over the wreckage that is created in the dysfunctional, drug-using, TV-transfixed useful idiots who have nothing to live for but their fix. Taxpayers should not be paying for Democrat agitprop.

Typical double standard for NPR.
“Juan should sue, saying he was fired because hes black. The Nina example would be good ammo for him.”
This is juicy on so many levels: NPR and the PC crap they just stepped into. Wow.
But that’s different. Nina Totenberg is white, you see . . .
