I remember FReepers telling me that FoxNews sold out to the Saudis, or Hillary. Does anyone still stink that? It's more that there's a Saudi prince who owns a large block of stock in Fox's parent company, and who is needed to prevent hostile takeovers. They need to keep him happy.

I realize that a deal was made. But I think this is a fine example of how FoxNews should not be thought of as ‘the enemy’ — such a suspicion is not etched in stone so far as I’m concerned. Maybe that deal with the Saudis was exactly what Murchoch said — an outreach program that helps us gain influence there [instead of the other way around].
