That’s not true, though.
Voter turnout in Chicago in 2008 was 71.5%, which was actually lower than 2004. Chicagoans were less passionate about their “own” candidate than they were for John Kerry or George Bush.

I remember Rove having similar spin before the 2006 elections. I think we all knew it wasn’t true, as much as we wanted to believe it.

Just know this.... Unless there is a signifcant wave of Republican gains the media and the Obama admin will claim this is a victory for Obama. They will say that America understood the stakes and rejected the Tea Party and went with the full Obama Agenda... Obama will say he was never far left and the center will move even further left, he may win back independents who are fickle and may follow a perceived Democrat victory to allow them more rope to hang themselves with but in 2 more years it will all be too late there will be no hope left in turning back the destruction that will come. I think this is our one and only chance if we fail, America will fail.
Actually, I agree with Axelrod on this one.
Democrats ARE going to be UPSET on election night. We’ll probably be needing the whiney Democrat baby before it is all through.

I will be pulling an all-nighter until the last congressional district is in from Hawaii. After the last two cycles, this will be a night of celebration... Taking Wednesday off from work.
Bloggers and possibly news outlets like Fox may have fun investigating previously unaccounted for ballot boxes that show up all over the country, busloads of clueless people lead by activists, lawyers and secretaries of state who want to change the rules...etc. Yeah, the Democrat party is going to be very busy come November.
Republicans need more poll watchers.

If the Dems have their way, there will be more votes from dead people and illegals than there will be from absentee military.
And I mean that sincerely.
I believe that every person with a hand in cheating the absentee military should be hauled into the street and beaten. Severely. Repeatedly. And I mean every one of them. All the way up the line.
Who knows. I have no faith in the GOP. I’ll believe they will do something gutsy and principled AFTER they do it.

I have the strangest feeling that if suddenly a lot of Dems. win, there is a stinky dead rat somewhere. If people are as angry as they say, and as determined to get this bunch out of Congress, then we should still get a lot of wins!
The few Dems. that win are either in safe districts, some people are cheating, or they’re in districts where there are mod. to conservative Dems., who are getting brave and defiant toward Obama or Pelosi. Maybe these are some who voted against “Obamacare” (among other things) for the right reasons. Now they might win again. There were a number of Dems. said to be in the “tea party”, they might be winning.
Whatever it is, I’m sure hoping the mythical “sleeping giant” will for heaven’s sake stay awake and sober for awhile! Good grief, he was supposed to be ‘awakening’ many times, but it seems he gets put back to sleep w/drugs or he rolled over and went back to sleep!
GUARD THE VOTE! DO WHAT EVER YOU CAN TO SAFEGUARD THE VOTE.

In the early on, Obama promised ACORN they'd have an important role in America's future elections.
Wonder what he meant by that?
Then there's the funding they've been getting.
In a similar vein, I often wonder how much of that Stimulus money went to localities for this purpose? Lord knows, there's untold dollars unaccounted for in that political monstrosity that was foisted on a most unwilling public.
Likewise, does anyone hear anything about Obama’s “National Civilian Security Force” or whatever it's called, that he loudly touted on the campaign trail in ‘08? I figured he'd have less than 2 years to make the thing operational.
Nov. 2nd is nothing more than the opening salvo of this Second Civil War. It's going to get more difficult, not easier - trust me.
We have to be ready. This is the “Box” scenario unfolding. Since ‘09 we've used the soap box to good effect, a hostile press notwithstanding. Now, we're ready to exercise our franchise via the ballot box. May we continue to have good luck on our side.
However, if things fall apart in spite of our best intentions, we must utilize the final box - the ammo box.
I pray it does not come to that.
