This is great... If even MSM 'journalists' give to Angle, including LV Sun who endorses Reid, it's clear who won...

Ouch. Jon Ralston is one of Reid’s biggest boosters.

If he says Reid lost the debate .. that says it all.

The next Senator from the state of Nevada,

Sharron Angle.

She did impress me and shattered the low expectatons most people had of her.

In the vice presidential debates, Dan Quayle wiped the floor with Al Gore. I listened, live on the radio, even the Boston Globe (!) gave the debate to Quayle. For all the good it did.

Debates mean very little.

Now for the FReeper test;)

When an elected GOP representative (Michael Steele, Mitt Romney, GWB, Guiliani, Huckabee, McCain, Sarah Palin, et al) falls from grace with an itty bitty or big-a$$ boo-boo - we pile on and chuck ‘em under the bus.

Will Nevada Dems be as tough on Dingy Harry?

I doubt it!!!!!

“If even MSM ‘journalists’ give to Angle...”

And per NRO even some real lefties, like folks from Mother Jones and The Nation. (from memory, so it’s my error if either of those is wrong).

But, I must say I’ve always found the far left journos more honest that the total shills in the MSM.

Sharron is a bit hard to listen to for an extended period of time, but she landed the harder hits. Reid, like Coons on Tuesday, was condescending and arrogant.

Reid’s comment that he said that the war in Iraq was lost based upon what the general told him, it was clear that he saw the train coming at him.

The other day Reid said he was not responsible for the high unemployment.

Last night he said his job as senator was to create jobs.

Go figure..

But Angle, as she often does, when confronted with previous positions from abolishing the Education Department to phasing out Social Security and Medicare, just plows ahead as if her reinvention project is perfectly believable. If she says she never said it, maybe she never did — unless, as has so often happens but could not Thursday, someone plays Warren Wolf and goes to the videotape.

There really is a simple way to address this. Say this:

"I believe that education in this country was better before we had a Department of Education, for many reasons, one of which is localized control. Social Security is in danger of going bankrupt at some point and we have to address it, there's no way around it. Don't misunderstand this to mean that the day I enter office I'm going to simply cut off millions of people, there's no way I could endorse such a plan, and it's insulting that people have suggested that. All I've said is we have to have this discussion on what to do so our children and grandchildren have stability. It doesn't take a genius to know that Social Security is unsustainable.

It’s long past time that this slug got defeated. And there are many other Democrats about whom one could say the same thing.

His opening statements about his parents suffering after hsi Dad’s lay off and Mother had to take in laundry from the brothels to make money, was really desperate.

Who would be make up such a story of their Mother having to wash the disease filled linens of a whore house? (I don’t believe for one second that this story is true)

If this is the only exposure to the struggle paying the bills this twit has ever had, he needs to GO!

Sharron did okay and I’ll send her a 3rd small donation today so she can invest in some aggressive poll watchers starting tomorrow.

Harry came across as a bumbling old Marxist moron. At the end of the debate each candidate was given 60 seconds to make a closing statement. Reid went first and it took him an agonizing 15 seconds to find his notes. No joke!

I went to sleep last night amazed that the strongest nation in the world has invested it’s Senate majority to this clueless fool. It’s a miracle that we are not worse off than we are.

The catch phrase for the night was when she said:

Man up, Harry

I hope it is played on NV radio and TV until November 2nd.

The strategy was to cast Angle as a wild-eyed crazy berserker. But you just can’t have two of those in the same election cycle. When the media shifted it’s attention to O’Donnell they let Angle escape to recast herself and shift the conversation back to Dingy Harry’s record.

I listened to the debate on C-Span while freeping and had a hard time with Angle’s voice.

However, I watched it this morning (parts of it) on Fox News and she was so much better when you could see her.

I didn't watch it but Harry must have been brutally bad because the MSM usually declares the winner (almost always the Democrat) even before the debate begins. For Reid to be universally panned like this in sympathetic media suggests to me that the Majority Leader is toast.

Sharron sold herself well and Harry didn't.

Her next move should be no second debate. You never give a bad debate opponent a second chance to change people's impressions. I suspect Harry was the one avoiding a debate before this and now Sharron should be the one who is "too busy".

Sharron still hasn't had a visit from Sarah Palin, I believe, so if she comes in to close the deal, this race is won just as long as we keep our side enthused and eager to turn out and vote.
