I’m sorry to sound so sarcastic about this particular subject, but since when is their base so religious they would do prayer circles for them? I wish it was, but I really find this difficult to believe.

I wasn’t sure about the Santeria thing, it was just the one article (that I saw) but now I am sure it’s true.
I’ve never heard anyone I know or read anyone saying stuff about “clean spirits” other than reading about voodoo or or wicca/witchcraft stuff.
Un-freaking-believable! The White House will needs massive cleaning when they leave, plus it will reek of cigarette smoke.
There are hundreds of thousands of Christians who are praying for the safety of our nation each day. None of them are praying for “clean spirits” around the Obamas...most peculiar.

A quick search did show lots of references between Voodoo and cleansing of spirits. I thought it was in a Christian church hymn as well, but that is “Create in me a clean Heart”. Although I imagine there are references in the Bible to folks with a clean spirit.
