Trapped Chilean Miners Rescue Beginning. Live Coverage
(Excerpt) Read more at guardian.co.uk ...
I can’t help but thinking this sort of looks like a space movie. The shot of the A-frame with the vertical rock wall and then the miners down in the hole walking like they were in reduced gravity (camera effect).Seems like rescuing miners on some distant planet — but its reality.
It really is like that, the slow mo, and and the sound quality when they talk. Even the flag in the background. Kind of surreal
CNN GOES TO COMMERCIAL AS THE 4TH GUY IS RIGHT THERE?!?!?
4th guy still coming up.
How long do you think it will be before some clown tries to say it was all faked, just like some whack jobs try to claim about the Apollo program?
President and first lady surround wife #4. She is a bit more composed, drinking coffee. I don’t know how much longer the president can be out there— it’s already 3 a.m. there.
Miner #4 is Bolivian — they were just given small Bolivian flags to wave.
OK...somebody with more brains than me please explain the little flags?
He’s up!
What kind of flags did they just pass out?
Thanks...you answered my question before I asked it! LOL
some rescued are not from Chile
...and Fox News is still showing rescued miner number 2. Seems that they have decided to repeat old footage instead of covering it live.
I don’t know the significance of the multicolored flag in a diagonal pattern.
Ahhh - thank you!
So many of these guys are so young, they’ve got their whole lives ahead of them thanks to this rescue *snif*
I am laughing at the back of the ambulance.
My mind read Ambulancia as Ambu Lancia.
It’s a Lancia! Quick, get that guy out of there before it turns into a pile of rust! (Or wins a rally, take yer pick)
CNN has 60% commercials, 20% live coverage in Chile, and 20% other news.
I can't believe I'm sitting here watching MSNBC for the first time in a couple of years. I'm going to need a shower...
One of the CNN feeds just showed (happy guy) Mario meeting up with family again - his wife and maybe his kids? Very sweet, tearful reunion
Now the Bolivian’s family is in the kiss n’ cry area. Some of these folks have the very traditional Bolivian dress, ponchos, etc.

Good feed — thanks. I’m a native Texan — I can handle the Spanish (mostly...).
