I used to download Hugh Hewitt, Dennis Prager and Michael Medved daily but they went behind a paywall so I stopped. I'd love to download Rush and Dennis Miller but they're behind paywalls, too. Dana Loesch is a little to top 40 and bombastic for my tastes, but she, and Rodger Hedogecock, will do in a pinch. I'm digging the John Bachelor podcast. It's a nice combo of culture, science, politics and security round tables.
So, right now, my MP3 player is music and John Batchelor, which is not good enough for a tea partier like me. Can you guys give me any suggestions for free, intelligent, conservative/libertarian podcasts that aren't weighted down by to many commercials?
Thank you.
Mark Levin’s website it free, so I think you might want to try his show.
crosstalk, worldview weekend, understanding the times
You can still get a couple of Dennis Miller interviews every day for free. I listen to those.
Same with Fred Thompson and Laura Ingraham.
The Ricochet podcasts are good - about an hour once a week.
There’s Mark Levin, but if you don’t like bombastic, well....
I always catch Derb Radio from National Review, every Friday. I also listen to the Between the Covers author interviews.
Finally, I like the Northern Alliance First Team from Townhall.
Financial Sense Newshour with Jim Puplava and John Loeffler (2 to 4 hourly segments each week). Excellent information. Covers much more info than just stock market news. An absolute must listen to each week for me.
Buy a CC Witness, plug it into your ‘puter, and go to radiotime to find a broadcast to record.
Focus on the Family is great if you are a family man (woman).
Mark Levin’s 3 hour radio show is turned into a 1h 45m or so podcast. It is both free of charge and commercial free except for two or three live-read spots (a total of four minutes).
If you’re looking for a firebrand, take no crap tell it like it is conservative he’s your man.
You can listen to most any program for free at radiotime.com
You can record in a number of ways,I use Audacity.
Andrew Wilkow - Wilkow Majority
I’ll echo two suggestions above. Howie Carr is the best!!! and local NY public radio is really good, when they use the national feed...not so much.
Another great talkshow host who’s a Conservatarian.
Jim Vicevich on WTIC in Hartford, CT

I agree with those who suggest Mark Levin. Very happy to listen during the day in the office.
I suggest a few non-political others:
Film Sack: Four geeks talking about classic geek movies
Coast-to-coast: Its a subscription of $14 a month, but well worth it if you like discussions about bigfoot, alien abductions and Aea 51.
Interviews leading financial experts on current financial news happenings. Ususally has 3 to 5 podcasts a week with different guests. Most podcasts are 10-15 minutes long.
