Obama Is in the Jaws of Political Death: Can He Survive?
Yahoo News ^

Posted on 10/11/2010 7:03:08 AM PDT by mandaladon

Barack Obama is being politically crushed in a vise. From above, by elite opinion about his competence. From below, by mass anger and anxiety over unemployment. And it is too late for him to do anything about this predicament until after November's elections.

"Obama has exacerbated his political problems not just by failing to enact policies that would have actually turned the economy around, but also by authorizing a series of tactical moves intended to demonize Republicans and distract from the problems at hand" ...in other words he has been a failure!!!

Opinion about his competence isn’t just coming from the elites. He could survive that.

failing to enact policies that would have actually turned the economy around

Again, assuming a fact not in evidence - that 0bama intended for the economy to get better.

All I can say is I hope he can’t survive because his survival equals America’s complete collapse

This sounds like another set up for a staged “miracle come-back”.

We can't have the one without the other.

However, he got into the WH with money changing hands and all kinds of other shenanigans... so they Liberals will just repeat their usual voter fraud deals.

TIME magazine has turned on him. Even Time magazine has finally noticed that he and his administration are amateur and incompetent. What did they expect when they urged the election of someone who had no prior experience to indicate that he was up to the job? Time magazine ought to have to eat its words from two years ago. And here is what the same writer said shortly before the 2008 election:

Not a perfect candidate, but a truly great one. Aced his three established big moments (Veep choice, convention acceptance speech, debates) and the wild-card moment (economic crisis). With his message discipline, sturdy confidence, generous patriotism, few mistakes and cool, consistent demeanor ...

He shouldn’t. The economy is a mess, there are no jobs being created and the men and women serving in the military have no leadership. He should be impeached for derelection of duty. How do you run a country and two active wars when your main focus is campaigning every day to save your party because your ego has been hurt. He’s nothing but a con man and the sooner people see through him the better off we’ll be.

Obama daydream: Say, (eyes light up), if we get attacked...we can absorb this...the whole nation will pull together for me, esp. if I give an FDR type speech about not fearing fear itself! No mention of Muslims as enemies, of course. Just the odd extremist with issues because it’s all our fault and we haven’t been generous enough toward the Third World.

Meanwhile on CNN this am, discussion of republican candidate for NY gov.’s stance on gays. He’s already drawn and quartered in public. So the reporterette picks at his bones and links this to recent bullying attacks on gays. “The climate, blah, blah, blah...” (This is for the children, sniff sniff.) Never mind what that the press has hounded and victimized your own ten year-old daughter. It’s the same method they use to great effect against Sarah Palin.

This was written by Mark Halperin a regular on Morning Joe. I’ll bet you wont see him there for awhile because they wont want to hear this scathing rebuttal of Obama.

Ironically if Republicans won both houses of congress this year, that would help Obama in 2012.

To Time Magazine:

Rabble-Rousing in South Chicago is the only qualification Obama had on his resume. I don't count the short period in the Illinois Senate where the dupes paid him to vote “present”. What were you thinking???

I still say he’s following the progressive agenda to a tee and this is exactly what they want. They want americans so needy and desperate that will we will cling to anything that delivers real hope. Im pretty sure Hitler did the same thing.

It ain’t gonna work. 0bama is now toast. He is a failure (except for the destruction). Now the question is how much can be done to stop further damage by a narcissist who will now go all out to leave the house in ashes.

My take is that Halperin is a weathervane and not a shaper of opinion. He had some after the campaign book with smartalec anecdotes, but not any seriousness. His report of the elites disaffection is a big deal. Brack is toast. The sooner he is marginalized and gridlocked in the Congress, the better it will be for all of us. IMHO.

The US mass media will do EVERYTHING THEY CAN over the next 23 days to depress the patriotic vote turnout, embolden the Obama socialist bloc vote, expose all kinds of "skeletons" in the closest of Conservative candidate after candidate, and in essence save their fire power for the very last, the last three or four days, to try to reverse the trend as best they can, at the very least KEEP both houses in Democrat hands, if even by slimmer margins, and then build it up as some kind of big Obama victory.

THAT IS WHY EVERY FREEPER MUST CONTACT A MINIMUM OF *TEN* FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND GET THEM TO VOTE FOR THEIR CONSERVATIVE GOP HOUSE MEMBER OR CANDIDATE AND SAME FOR SENATE IF THEY HAVE SUCH A RACE. We must simply turn out in DROVES no matter how discourging and hard hitting the MSM will get over the next number of days. We must continue to make this a complete national Referendum on Obama. This is how you word it to your friends and family to get their asses in gear and get to the polls early on Election Day and save the Country!!!!! "Do you want MORE of Obama or LESS of him, to see on TV and be a general nuisance in your life and in the lives of your countryment?"

One must assume that he's interested in extricating himself from this vise, or even that this vise is real. Notice the spin here -- "elite opinion about his competence" -- and that he can't do anything about umemployment until "after November's elections" -- despite having been in office for more than 18 months and causing the economic morass that we're in. He can always count on 91 percent of the black vote, living, dead, and duplicate. He can get the rest of what he needs by additional vote fraud and the class warfare vote -- give or take the creation of fake vote-splitting candidacies to pander to the opposition.
