NRA may stop GOP from taking the House
Washington Examiner ^ | 10/05/10 5:25 PM EDT | MATTHEW SHEFFIELD

....The NRA’s bipartisan stance is potentially harming those hopes as it’s endorsed 39 Democratic candidates in the House....Believe it or not, the only ones who might help Nancy Pelosi save her House majority are those who run legislative affairs at the NRA. So called Blue Dog Democrats across the nation are campaigning as red meat conservatives in their home districts, while running deceptive ads about their Republican opponents. They campaign as if they have nothing to do with the Democrat Party that they propelled to power and which passed all of the nefarious legislation that they purport to oppose. The sick irony is that the more successful these liars are in distancing themselves from Pelosi, the more likely it will be that Pelosi will remain Speaker.

Yet another article on how short-sightedness at the NRA is dragging the country down. The NRA needs to take a look at the larger context of gun rights: with more dems in congress, there is more chance that liberal judges will be appointed, judges who will shoot down our 2nd amendment rights. Time to cash in the NRA membership.

This ain't your daddy's America anymore.

The NRA can kiss my ***. What good is the Second Amendment if you have to wait 6 months to buy a gun and a box of ammo costs you 150 or 200 bucks? What a bunch of dumb bass turds.

In a close race in Maryland’s 1st District, the NRA endorsed the dem even though the Republican has an “A” rating from the NRA on second amendment issues.

The NRA has jumped the shark...

It is hard to even see the NRA as credible now.

Like many lobbying organizations, they have been in DC too long, like the cocktails and dinners too much, and simply become part of the system rather than be social outcasts.

the NRA is on its way to extinction, but it may take the 2nd Ammendment with it.

"...the NRA is on its way to extinction, but it may take the 2nd Ammendment with it."

There's a world of difference between taking the 2nd Amendment with it, and taking our guns. A big, exquisitely hurting, fatally bleeding world. N'kay?

Oh, and just for the record (in case Yoobangee O'Butthole is still bothering to keep one), the Libfart pinheads in D.C. know it, and are little more than handcuffed, helpless little sniveling bitches because of it.

Sweet, right? LMFWCAO!!!!

The NRA has one responsibility, and one only: to protect gun rights.
Imagine this scenario: Harry Reid, a staunch defender of gun rights, believe it or not, is defeated by Sharron Angle, but the GOP does NOT get a majority in the Senate:
Do you know who would become Senate Majority Leader?

Chuckie Schumer, that’s who: the gun owner’s worst nightmare...

So tell me:
How much did YOU contribute to the two landmark gunrights cases of this century: the D.C. case, and the McDonald vs Chicago?

That’s right: the NRA did it for you...
That and the hundreds of other little cases defending gunowners’ rights around the country.
While you have your self-indulgent little rants on FR.

Candyasses...

The NRA can't drag anything down.

Another mere interest group with a modicum of political clout. Long since infiltrated and rendered politically harmless, this recent scrap is merely an attempt to reanimate a corpse and get something out of its putrefaction.

Have they really done this or is it just one of those steaming crocks that get floated around right before an election?

Personally, I don’t give a hoot what the NRA says anyway. What a candidate says during an election cycle is meaningless, as those who voted for “conservative” Deomcrats found out the hard way. It’s all about the party’s agenda, especially as far as the Democrats are concerned, that counts.

The Pledge from America has its shortcomings, but it is far superior to the Democratic agenda of the destruction of freedom wherever they find it.

LOL! I get no pleasure in bashing the NRA but they are trying to save the Dems. They have destroyed the NRA Chuck Heston worked to build. I am done with the NRA.

The NRA will never recover from this, as far as I'm concerned, and that is a shame (29 year member, no more, never again).
Charlton Heston, as president, was probably its' last shining moment.
