According to Deadline, Wonder Woman is making a comeback to T.V. David E. Kelly will be producing and writing the new series.
Some of us women remember watching the most famous superhero in the universe, twirl into one hot colorful outfit, sending the feminist message of total girl power.
Linda Jean Córdova Carter the daughter of a Mexican immigrant mother and Irish father played the role of this kick ass Amazon woman.

1. Wonder Woman MUST be Latina. Dont even try to dress up a white woman as Wonder Woman. Youll loose half the audience with the wrong casting. We actually LIKE the fact that Linda Carter was of Mexican decent and that it was very noticeable. Make the entire cast diverse, its a brand new world since 1941 where she first debuted, and the TV series must mirror that.
2. She cant be uber young. Making her appealing to the over 30 crowd will be the ticket bridging the generations; MILF-like if you will.
3. She must be flawed. Not the, cant keep a man cause shes so strong issues either. How about Bruce Wayne issues or Tony Stark issues. That would be nice. A really, really rich MILF with issues of revenge who mask them in a playgirl lifestyle see sounding sexy already!
4. Make her sexuality a mystery. Is she a lesbian? Straight? Bi-sexual? Let her date a man, but sort of flirt with a woman. Not knowing and keeping the audience guessing would be fun. Let there be tension. That always works and would keep folks coming back.
5. Finally, Wonder Woman must be tech savvy. There are girl geeks out there that desperately need her to invent something cool. Her invisible car has to have comic fans comparing hers to Batmans. Her bracelets must be quite fashionable, yet functional with some serious surprises to pop up when shes Jack Bauer(ing) those terrorist!
I personally need her to be kick ass. I watched her growing up, pretended to be her, dreamed I was her secret sister back on her home planet, except my boots were black and my bracelets had black diamonds. (#Dont judge me) I need to be able to enjoy this series with both my mother AND my daughter, and I need little minority girls to see themselves in the new Wonder Woman the same way I did in Linda Carter.
I predict a total and complete flop.
Sorry, it’s sexist, it’s blatant - but there is a reason why Baywatch was an overwhelming international success that ran for years. And it wasn’t because of the character development and captivating plot lines.
So instead of kicking terrorist ass and defending the country, Wonder woman will spend the entire movie having lesbian sex.
A true sex positive hero!
"Where do I audition?"
"She must be flawed..."
"Make her sexuality a mystery....."
"Invent something".....

She's a wonder, wonder woman....

"One of these things is not like the other...."
That just might revolutionize television.
She could spend her off time working in an abortion clinic.
Considering that the WW was modeled after the Greek mythology of Amazons, she would not be latina.
I didn't know, or care, what Lynda Carter was when I was 8, just that she was Wonder Woman.
A -- the prefix for 'without'
Mazos -- "breast"
But, seriously, why MUST she be a Latina? The Amazon legends were *Greek*, meaning if anything she should be Mediterranean.
Hmmm... Israel is on the Mediterranean so they could make her a Jewess! -- I'd love to see the reaction to that.
Ok, here’s the real secrets of Wonder Woman success:
1. Skimpy red, white and blue costume—traditonal outfit.
2. Attractive brunette actress with big hooters.
3. Tie her up a lot and have her tie up bad guys a lot.
Viola, hit show.
I’m only now learning that Linda Carter is of Mexican decent and still have not understood why the writer considers this relevant to ANYTHING about Wonder Woman.
Voila dammit.
I read some time ago that she was very popular in Mexico. I sort of figured she must be part Mexican.
I never would have guessed just by looking at her tho she does have a tiny bit of a Hispanic look. Of course those blue eyes don’t even remotely say Mexico.
Not even the picture of Helen Thomas, nor the one of Amy Winehouse is as bad as the picture you posted.
You deserve a Zot for that. I don’t care that you’ve been here longer than I. That’s terrible!
