“She filed an admin claim on Diaz’s behalf with the labor comission.”

What will that accomplish?

After watching the video, the 15 hours a week makes me wonder, what was she doing with the rest of her time? Who else was she working for? That’s a lot of time to sit around doing nothing.

DNC donors to revel with Playboy `bunnies’ - Some party members hopping mad
The Washington Times - Monday, July 24, 2000
Author: Bill Sammon, THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Vice President Al Gore's pick for vice chairman of the Democratic National Committee is ignoring calls from her own party to cancel a fund-raiser at the Playboy Mansion in the middle of the Democratic convention next month.

Rep. Loretta Sanchez, California Democrat, is going ahead with the bash at legendary hedonist Hugh Hefner's pleasure palace in Los Angeles, where a bevy of scantily clad Playboy “bunnies” will give private tours to Democratic donors and members of Congress.

Mr. Gore, who gave the relatively inexperienced lawmaker the influential position of DNC vice chairman, is one of 600 Democrats on Mrs. Sanchez's guest list for the Playboy party, which also includes California Gov. Gray Davis.

Gore aides said the vice president will not attend, although he has stopped short of publicly calling for Mrs. Sanchez to change the venue of the fund-raiser.

A growing number of other Democrats, however, are showing no compunction about calling for the party to be moved.

Feminist attorney Gloria Allred, a member of the DNC’s platform committee, is outraged that her party would implicitly condone the sexual exploitation and degradation of women.

POLITICS - Gore Won't Play the Playboy in Los Angeles
Washington Post - Sunday, July 16, 2000
Author: Mike Allen
Vice President Gore objects strenuously to the event, but Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) is going ahead with her plan to hold an invitation-only reception at the Playboy Mansion during the Democratic National Convention next month in Los Angeles.

The Playboy Foundation, six corporations and a 40-member host committee are underwriting the event, which will benefit Hispanic Unity USA, a political action committee that is chaired by Sanchez and promotes voter registration.

About 600 people are expected to attend. Hugh Hefner, the founder of Playboy Enterprises Inc., is scheduled to drop by. Gore is not. The vice president knew nothing about the event until the plans were announced and is said to have expressed hearty disapproval.

“This is a non-convention event,” said Chris Lehane, a Gore spokesman. “This is not something the vice president is attending, nor is it something he condones or has given his imprimatur to.”

Richard S. Rosenzweig, executive vice president of Playboy Enterprises, said he is surprised that “progressive people would have a problem with this event.”

“Playboy has been involved in women's rights issues from the very earliest days,” he said. Sanchez, who unseated Rep. Robert K. Dornan in a tight 1996 race in Orange County, plans to mail the invitations this week. Sanchez's spokeswoman, Sarah Anderson, described the Playboy Mansion as “a high-profile venue.”

Gloria Allred , a feminist attorney and a member of the Democratic Party's platform committee , said she thinks the event is a mistake, and for her “would not even be a close call.” She said she supports Sanchez and Hispanic Unity USA, and acknowledged that Playboy has advocated abortion rights and the Equal Rights Amendment.

State’s divided Dems stress need for unity
San Francisco Chronicle (CA) - Monday, May 19, 2008
Author: Carla Marinucci, Chronicle Political Writer

In California, the nation’s most populous state, the single largest bloc of committed delegates for Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton had a feisty message for the Democratic presidential hopeful this weekend: hang tough and stay in the race.

But her supporters and those backing Sen. Barack Obama in California - who together will be the largest delegation to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer - also agreed that party unity is paramount and that Democrats must come together to beat the likely GOP nominee, John McCain.

The 370 pledged delegates and 71 superdelegates - 16 of them still uncommitted - in California’s convention delegation were called together in Sacramento over the weekend to conduct party business, including the election of Sen. Dianne Feinstein as chair of the delegation.

With two important primaries this week in Oregon and Kentucky, the conflicted loyalties and passions of delegates in California sharply illustrated the challenges still ahead for Democrats as they seek to wind up a contentious presidential nomination race and unite behind a nominee.

Supporters of Obama and Clinton met separately and together, and the tension that has marked the long contest was clearly on display.

“The feeling inside this room is that everybody wants to hang tough for Hillary,” Los Angeles celebrity attorney Gloria Allred , a pledged Clinton delegate, said as she emerged from an occasionally raucous meeting of the 204 pledged delegates who stand with the New York senator.

“To the extent that the superdelegates are pledged to Hillary, we want them to stay with Hillary,” said Allred. “We came in here with some anxiety ... but she’s committed to us, and we to her. And we’ll continue to fight for her.”

(snip)

Bob Mulholland , a state campaign adviser and one of an estimated 16 undecided superdelegates, said the pressure to decide has grown in recent weeks as the contest has dragged on.

Fiorina vs. Boxer: Let the ad wars begin

Comments:

Fiorina needs to do a TV ad explaining why she was fired by H-P five years ago and has been unable to find a job since.

Good analysis by reporter Steve Harmon.
The problem Whitman & Fiorina have is they are Republicans who are basically running on the argument that Bush Jr’s economics policies were correct and President Clinton’s (the best economy the world has ever seen and budget surpluses) were wrong.
And with Fiorina, the more voters find out she was a failure as HPs CEO and got fired in 2005 for arrongance and incompetence, the worse it gets for Whitman & Fiorina.

http://www.politico.com/blogs/bensmith/0810/Brown_hits_Whitman_with_eBay_parody.html

At eBay, Whitman is mostly remembered as the CEO who pushed over staff member and eBay had to pay $200,000 to settle the complaint. Coordinating a web site is not qualifications for public office. Besides Whitman doesn’t like people.

http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/media/121023-glenn-beck-hearts-chris-christie

In the NJ governor race in 2009, Christie was accused of pushing his weight around. On a sidewalk, Christie could have been arrested for how he went at the Californian asking a question. Whitman pushed over one of her female employees and got sued and had to settle by having eBay pay $200,000. So Whitman & Christie have a lot in common. BY Bob Mulholland on 09/27/2010 at 13:52

Nothing. She didn’t file until after she started the whole phony dust up. The alleged failure to pay mileage happened like 7 yrs ago & Diaz never made any demand for it on the employer. Allred was desperate.

She was on Geraldo last night.

Whoraldo is still on TV? Even after he pointed out to the world where the U.S. Troops were headed in Iraq?

BTW. I did a youtube search on Whoraldo and only a few clips came up. One getting his nose broken and another getting knocked down by a hurricane. Both funny, I'm sure, but can't watch the pr*ck!
