Don't know if it's true, but various sites are reporting that Lakin and his counsel, Paul Jensen, may be parting ways and Lakin may be acquiring an experienced military law counsel
If that is true, better late than never. If nothing else, it could pay dividends in the sentencing phase.
The Colonel’s sentence was fixed on the day he was formally charged.Count on it!
Hope it’s true. LTC Lakin needs excellent military counsel as well as our prayers.
He isn’t following any military orders, is he?
He’s believe that he’s already got military counsel assigned. It’s automatic.
Sentence first, verdit afterwards?
That’s right. I was talking about a civilian counsel experienced in military affairs.
Perhaps I should have been more specific...the Colonel's verdict *and* sentence were fixed on the day he was formally charged.Anyone who thinks otherwise simply doesn't have the first clue what our Community-Organizer-in-Chief (and his cronies...civilian *and* military) are all about.
The Col. is not guilty!
Tired CON is a troll.
Yeah, he is. He's never denied it.
Yes, full of turd trolls.
The verdict was almost certain the moment Lakin disobeyed his orders. The sentence is undetermined. To believe otherwise is to not understand the US military.
>>The verdict was almost certain the moment Lakin disobeyed his orders.<<
My question now is, will a majority of Republicans in Congress and the Senate change the outcome? In my mind the whole mood could change.
Jensen filed an interloctury appeal on behalf of LTC Lakin 6 days ago and the Obots are dancing in the streets because Safeguardourconstitution.org website is down.
Obots are in trouble and they know it.
When was the trial?
To be honest, I read Jensen's filing and compared it to the statutory threshold he has to meet. I think it has pretty much zero chance of being granted.
Part of the problem is I don't think Jensen really knows what he's doing in a military law environment. His briefs evidence basic competence in making a filing, which puts him one up on others not to be named, but his frustration as to why he's not getting anywhere seems pretty revealing. I think it can only be a positive for Lakin to get a civilian on his team who actually understands military law and can work with his military attorney.
Given that you're "retired military" and my *very* ordinary Army "career" lasted 6 years you've got me trumped.And...I never had *any* contact with the UCMJ either as a duty assignment,as a juror,or as the accused and if the same is true with you then we're both flying blind here,IMO.
But just think of the importance of this case.If the Colonel prevails in this case the shockwaves would very probably drive Hussein from office. It would create a Constitutional crisis the likes of which we havn't seen for many years..if ever.
There's no way that I'll ever believe that this case wasn't considered,in detail,at the very highest levels before charges were issued.I would expect nothing less from Hussein The Miraculous.
