I think the case is the original claim against Fox, that they discriminated against females and blacks, not the contract dispute.

EEOC is a federal agency. Anyone can file a complaint with them. Of course, that doesn’t mean the complaint has any validity. But my concern is that the Obama-regime thugs will be pulling the strings of the EEOC re: this matter, which is a no-no. This is an independent agency. There should be no pressure put upon the EEOC from higher-ups in the Exec. Branch. Murdoch needs his best attorneys on this case.

Looks like the only mistake Fox News made was hiring Catherine in the first place. If I were them, I'd tell the feds to go ahead and send in the troops cause we ain't rolling over.

Well, they have to find a way to shut FNC up somehow.

I thought she was excellent also. And I think she’s gorgeous, so I’m kind of doubting that her age was a problem. Didn’t she have a baby not too long ago? Seems like I recall that the baby’s health was at risk.

Obambi and Holder certainly get themselves into idiotic situations.
Herridge is a contract employee. As such, like any other contract employee, she is assigned wherever Fox needs her. If she doesn't like her assignments then she needs to go elsewhere.
She was on with Megan Kelly this afternoon. ... shrug!!
And, I don't like her manner of reporting.

“female and black correspondents were given less desirable shifts”
I’ve watched Fox. I thought being female (especially blond, natural or bleached) or black a was a big plus. I keep asking my husband, “can they find a knowledgeable commentator that isn’t a bleached blond or black woman (or Karl Rove?)

I'm thinking abuse of process or wrongful civil litigation responses to the EEOC based on ulterior motive.
"Forced to work without a contract?" Presumably, she chose to work without the contract as a temporary basis likely under the terms of the previous contract. It's not ideal, but it is often used until there was a new agreement.
Also, what are the damages? She signed a contract.

“Does the WH think this will chill Fox or more correctly give them a bigger audience? Dopes.”
Might give them a chance to claim all negative stories are retaliation for suing Fox News. Wonder if Fox has to disclose that it is being sued by the government everytime it reports on the DOJ or the administration?

Can you say.....totalitarian? Good, very good, I knew you could.

Discrimination complaints generally go first to the federal EEOC. They investigate and either bring a lawsuit alleging discrimination or issue a “right to sue” letter to allow the person to file a private suit or do nothing.

I dislike her cold demeanor. And I met her! REALLY cold demeanor. She does not seem to have engaging "skill sets"

One would think that Greta Alexander is living proof that Fox does not discriminate because of age, sex, looks etc.

A firing case involving a media enemy? Full steam ahead.
Actual voter intimidation during a presidential election by Black Panthers? No need to look at that.

The EEOC is seeking unspecified monetary damages and a court order preventing the network from making similar retaliation against other employees.Monetary damages to... who? Another Obama/SEIU slush fund?
