A long lived, well lived life.
An American icon, who seemed to be a good sport and a genuinely funny man.
Some Like It Out is a classic.
May we all live to 85.

I remember him in Operation Petticoat.
You can tell he loved working with Cary Grant.

RIP Mr. Curtis, and thank you for your service in WWII.
I was in Washington, D.C. several years ago, doing some research at the National Archives. I took a lunch break and went across the street to get a slice of pizza. While I was there, I heard that Tony Curtis was outside, and that there was going to be a ceremony at the Navy Memorial right outside the building. I finished my meal and ran back to my car to get my camera. From what I understand, Mr. Curtis was going to be the Grand Marshal for the Memorial Day celebration that year. There was a short program at which he spoke, along with a few other military officials. If I recall correctly, he was in the Navy during WWII, and was on board the USS Missouri when the Japanese surrendered.

Great actor, may he rest in peace. I remember him best for his portrayal of Houdini. Loved that movie.
