The ultimate fallacy of any of the racial BS is that by each concession it will be over. It is a one way street that won't stop until whites make it stop. This isn't just about the "Confederacy'. Last time I looked the Red White & Blue is currently under attack as a symbol of hatred and oppression as is Columbus, our founding fathers, and most anything else associated with being white. The funny part is, the “Stars and Bars” was the flag of the Confederacy (SALUTE!) but wasn’t what most people think. Many people confuse it with the battle flag of Alabama (I think?).

Thanks for posting. I had posted it not knowing that a discussion was going on about this article already. I think it’s a great piece and the Southern cause for secession may be a foreshadowing of things to come in this country today. It’s not only Southern history that is being expunged, but American history as a whole. The natives have become the aliens, and now we are being dictated to by those who come to rape and pillage this once great country. And it starts from the top - right in DC.

The University of Mississippi has terminated its mascot, "Colonel Reb." The mascot, an archetypal Southern gentleman with a hat, cane, and a little bow-tie.

I am posting rather late in this thread, but felt I should pay my respects to Colonel Reb. My father, an "Old Miss" graduate, graced every vehicle he owed with a decal of the Colonel. I'm glad he is not alive to see this.

Bye Bye Colonel Reb, you will be missed, along with too much of the beauty of the south trampled by ignorance.
