Jerry Brown.

Meg Whitman was too canned and promised too much.I am still waiting to see a sign that Whitman understands the issues a layer deeper than her consultant-driven talking points. And when you try to add up her promises, well, they don't add up.

I want a governor who will tell voters what they don't want to hear.

Obama is going to give a Republican governor billions? And why is that?

You give Obama a lot more credit than I do.

Oh I knew you would arrive to smear and attack anyone defending the GOP candidate.
Glad your out their helping astroturf for Jerry Brown.
Remember to post RHINO alot.
How did defending the LA Slime push poll work out for you ????

Arnold killed the series of single healthcare bills cooked by Leno EVERY YEAR ITS BEEN PASSED.Arnold also killed all of Leno's wacky environmental bills too .
But you choose to ignore facts so you can post that tired over used RHINO.

I hear there is a poll with Scott ahead so you better get there and trash Rick and help out the Dem.

LOL

I’ve got your ticket.

I just invited some of your friends, too!

This will be my third request for those “100s of Lenos bills” that Arnie vetoed, LOL.

Your hero worship is getting really stale: McCain, Arnie, now Meg?
Come on!

How did defending the LA Slime push poll work out for you ????

You really need to educate yourself on what a "push poll" is.

You may disagree with the way in which the polling organizations determined "likely voters," but a "push poll" is something entirely different. You would look less ignorant if you corrected yourself on this instead of posting it ad nauseum.

P.S. -- I didn't defend it -- I just corrected you on who performed it. Big difference.

I said BOOST, not win it for them.

A valid point. But I think Meg&Co would help Sarah just as Rove&Co have helped O'Donnell, if you know what I mean.

The same ‘conservatives’ surrendured to Obama.

I hope they’re happy with their decision...

I have to agree. The state’s budget has a structural deficit, and the funny money is going to run out in the next four years. To use your analogy, the patient is dead, they’ve been smackin’ the paddles on him repeatedly in the last two years... and they can’t seem to get a normal heartbeat restored. Sooner or later, the crash cart is going to run outta juice and someone is going to call a TOD.

California has real, deep structural fiscal problems that cannot be solved without a very gung-ho fiscally conservative legislature, and that’s not going to happen. Ever.

I think it would be much smarter for the GOP to stand back and let the state go down in flames in the next two years, then use California and Michigan as examples of what happens when liberals are allowed to run a state into the ground in the ‘12 election.

Your posts are tiresome stream of snide /condescending elitist dribble.
Along with your elitist rants and the odd habit of attaching small portions of posts taken out of context are BORING.

Move along and accused someone of being a “ Rhino “.

I think the debate isn’t going to matter. I fear prop 19 turnout will scuttle both Whitman and Fiorina, The one year we had a chance to get rid of Boxer and libs will likely show up to vote to get stoned legally.

There are 2 categories of posts in this thread.
1) Posters who have actually lived in CA and know how bad governor moonbeam was.
2) Frustrated “pure” conservatives who hate Whitman.
<<<<<<<<<<<

FYI, it was an "out of stater" who came up with the "Governor Moonbeam" tag in the first place. Mike Royko, a Chicago newspaper columnist, coined the phrase back in 1978. Californians then picked up on it and Jerry Brown is still known as 'Moonbeam' 30 years later, long after Royko died.

“I long ago gave up trying to figure out what Gov. Moonbeam stands for or believes in,” Mr. Royko wrote in April 1979, “besides getting his pretty mug on TV and confusing people into voting for him.” He added that Mr. Brown was an “intellectual hustler,” who “can jabber so nimbly that no one can figure what he’s talking about.”

How Jerry Brown Became ‘Governor Moonbeam’

I'll admit Brown was a terrible Governor, but that doesn't change the fact Whitman is a terrible candidate.

“She couldn’t be worse than Jerry Brown, Arnold or Gray Davis.”

I’m not at all sure. She’s less principled than Arnold, if that’s possible.

I really don’t know if I’m going to be able to hold my nose tight enough to vote for her and not puke in the process.

She’s green (donated to Algore and is against prop 23), pro illegals, she waffles all the time, always calculating the politics of her position.

I remember Moonbeam and his space station. But when thinking of Brown, the word “intellectual” does not come to mind. ;-)

I went to an event this weekend and listened to Whitman speak.

She is a horrid speaker. Her speech was boring and her delivery was monotone.

She couldn't even give a rousing toast to CA Republicans.....it was dull and lifeless. Able Maldonado and Tony Strickland sounded better.

Come for a visit to sunny CA and listen to the woman you are promoting for our Gov. in person. She's a Romney/Wilson protege.

I don't know the answer for CA but neither Brown nor Whitman is it.
