Carl Paladino committed the sin of adultery. How many commit the sin of fornication? Fornicators lack character, and this sin, as well as adultery, is among the big ones that's flushing America down the toilet.
Paladino fathered a child by his extra marital affair, but did not prevail against the mother by demanding she have an abortion. How many men have made that demand whether they were married to the woman, or were adulterers or fornicators? Paladino walked the pro life walk, and continues to do so. I would say that type of action demands character.
Paladino supports his child. Deadbeat dads are bereft of character.
By the grace of God, Paladino and his blessed forgiving wife have incorporated his child into their family. How many men, by divorce or otherwise, abandon their children in favor of a life elsewhere, or a new family? These are the men who have no character.
How is it that liberals have said that families come in all different kinds? Is this statement only a feel good bumper sticker in favor of homosexual marriage and adoption, or does it also apply to the Paladinos? If it doesn't, isn't it only one more hypocrisy of the left? (But what else is new.)
How is it that the Religious Right can condemn Carl Paladino for his sin, and not acknowledge God's redemptive work in his life? How can they preach salvation, and yet when they see a real life example of it - how this man has sinned, how he chose to take responsibility for its consequences, and how he and his wife are choosing life each and every day - they say, “I can't vote for Carl; he has no character?” If they can say that, then what they claim to believe has no meaning, and they have no mercy in them. They have much more in common with the woman who said, “Divide the child,” than they have with Jesus Christ.
For many years, the Republican elites have chosen RINO candidates for whom we “hold our noses,” and push the levers. In my opinion, one of the major reasons we haven't had quality candidates is due to the politics of personal destruction. People of character who have something in their respective pasts, for which they've atoned and have moved on, have been reluctant to come out and risk exposure. Now that it's necessary for the preservation of our country that we field solid conservative candidates, some of these individuals have come forward and put themselves on the line. The least we can do is be supportive of not only their candidacies, but also of their CONVERSIONS.
Carl Paladino is our candidate in the NYS Gubernatorial race. He's a man with a determination to clean up Albany and New York State politics. He is also a man with a Testimony.
It would do well for us to remember the old Biblical quote that finds its perfect application here: “Let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.”
Ask Andy! :-D
I find it stunning how many people are led by the last headline. They do no research. When I first found out about Carl’s past I said to myself, “Wait a minute, let me find out the whole story.” They should know better than to trust the MSM, but they automatically jump to the worst conclusions.

One of the biggest bullets in the liberal gun that has been fired at conservatives for the last 40 years has been the expectation of perfection.
We fall into their trap by going along with every slight, and becoming hyper sensitive to basic everyday human fault.
It’s way past time to to forgive. Current wrongs must have consequence, but past transgressions? He did and is doing the right thing and his wife has forgiven him. Who are we to say she is wrong to do so?
This goes to people like Carl Rove too. Sure, I REALLY disagree with his treatment of Christine O’Donnell, but some here are calling him Tokyo Rove! Good grief. After 8 years of admiration one mistake and he is Tokyo Rove?
It sounds like he did something wrong, and then did a number of other things right. Also, he’s not Andrew Cuomo.
Oh, the irony....
I did a google search on Andrew Cuomo and divorce and came up with more than I expected.
He’s got far more dirt in that area than Carl has.
I don’t recall what sources are permitted on FR, but just to say that anyone who’s interested can find the same.
What I got on a google search is that both Andrew and his wife have both cheated on each other, they’ve getting divorced, fighting a custody battle over the kids, and he’s living with his current girlfriend.
If his campaign managers are going to try mud slinging against Carl in the moral purity and integrity in private lives area, they’d have been better off making sure their candidate was squeaky clean in that area of his life.
And he’s not.
This is going to come back and bite him... bad....
let’s find out
Amen. He’s still getting my vote!
I did. Posts 28 and 29, although I didn’t post any links.
LOTS of ammo for anyone who wants to go that road against Carl.
Anyone remember John Edwards, Bubba Clintoon, and 98% of the DC Elitists who are probably doing the same thing.
It’s the social part of conservatism that looks for morality in political leaders, and conservatives generally look to the Republican Party to provide them. The Republican Party traditionally has been the home of conservatism.
Democrat voters tend to be emotionally based, rather than rationally based, and very self-serving.
Remember you have to pass it before you can find out whats in it, same goes for these criminal rats. You’ll have to vote him in before you find out what he’s done in his life.......if your lucky! we’re still waiting for the community organzer and chiefs
college records
foreign campaign funding
birth certificate
relationship with his room mate
cocaine and other drug use
not to mention any affairs that might be buried
YOU GO CARL!
It’s similar to what Rosalyn Carter said about their former supporters voting for Reagan: it made them feel more comfortable with their own prejudices.
He's a Democrat. They are only disqualified, morally, after the 17th serial rape or the 3rd murder.
A Republican, however, is morally disqualified after any traffic violation or late-paid bill, ever.
LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!!
He isn't a Coumo. I do not care about his sex life.
I swear you moral police are bound and determined to leave the Dems in charge.
Time for EVERYBODY to follow Reagan's 11 commandment and just shut the hell up and let him pound the stuffing out of Coumo.
